if your new to pyrotechnics you should not be making flash full stop.

you should also be concerned with which types are the most dangerous to the user and which types have no place in pyrotechnics. research,time,and experience will give you evrything you need, people dont like to spoon feed dangerous info to begginers

different flashes have different uses and different issues.

if your serious about pyrotechnics it will all come, start with something safer,more fun and less likely to attract the wrong kind of attention and enjoy it.

I completely agree with what Dan said and add to that that one of those formulas may spontaneously ignite on a humid day
