Mumbles Posted April 25, 2011 Posted April 25, 2011 The forum does weird stuff with links sometimes. http://www.freep.com/article/20110425/NEWS05/110425043/Patient-emits-potentially-harmful-gas-hazmat-called-Ann-Arbor-hospital?odyssey=tab|topnews|text|FRONTPAGE The whole thing reads a lot like an Onion article. It just sounds like he had too many baked beans to me.
Algenco Posted April 25, 2011 Posted April 25, 2011 hmm, dseveral years ago a Woman was undergoing abdominal surgery, when the Surgeon opened her up the entire surgical team passed out from "toxic gases" on the other hand my Wife was working in the ER when a Woman came in complaining of "toxic farts"She claim she had never created a odor in her entire life and now the stench was horrible.Something bad was happening to her and she insisted that the farts were toxic
MadMax Posted April 26, 2011 Posted April 26, 2011 Hmm gives all new meaning to the phrase silent but deadly. I'd hate to have to share a room with him.
nater Posted April 26, 2011 Posted April 26, 2011 That does sound like an article from the Onion. If it is real, I only hope I never piss off the EMS gods so badly that I have a patient with a similar condition. Also, isn't most rodent poison just warfarin (Coumadin)?
Arthur Posted April 26, 2011 Posted April 26, 2011 Well in the UK rodent poison certainly used to be or include white phosphorus. Nowadays it is usually warfarin in retail/diy products. The term rat poison in the linked article may not be what is now available for home/diy use.
