Mumbles Posted April 21, 2011 Posted April 21, 2011 Those are called dragon's eggs. Look it up. Most commercial whistles do use end burners. What is your point?
THEONE Posted April 21, 2011 Author Posted April 21, 2011 Most commercial whistles do use end burners. What is your point? It was nozzleless...
dagabu Posted April 21, 2011 Posted April 21, 2011 LOL! If they have nozzles they are just bombs on sticks! ONE, the pressure spike that whistle makes is just to much for a nozzle, the tube over pressurizes and the fuel grain shatters causing a CATO.
THEONE Posted April 22, 2011 Author Posted April 22, 2011 (edited) Also i notice that the fuel was compressed... and i am asking now it is possible to pump the whistle mix like the BP or KNSU fuel mix ?Also i saw in wikipedia that whistle mix is a mix of 70% potassium perchlorate and 30% sodium benzoate That were i want to ask is if it is possible to find those chemicals...For example i found that iron oxide uses to make the cement red so i go to buy it... dan999ification Posted April 22, 2011 Posted April 22, 2011 never ram whistle if you like living it is always pressed, some very experienced people have had serious accidents pressing, even following the correct procedures doesn't guarantee your safety. you just wont reach a pressure high enough to consolidate the fuel by pumping and you should never try its just too dangerous.most of the whistle rockets ive seen also have a slight core as if the presses ram had a spike making a concave cone in the grain im not sure if this for thrust or tone though.dan
THEONE Posted April 22, 2011 Author Posted April 22, 2011 Those are called dragon's eggs. Look it up. It is possible to make dragon's eggs from flash powder ?

dan999ification Posted April 22, 2011 Posted April 22, 2011 It is possible to make dragon's eggs from flash powder ? no you need bismuth trioxide, copper oxide and magnalium, theres a few more comps using various lead compounds which are poisonous i personally dont want to work with anything too toxic.there is a star with a flash core i cant remember what its called but i bet someone on here does.dragons eggs are probably the simplest way to create the effect you want because you dont have to roll different layers for a flash core you can just cut dragons eggs 2-3mm and they're good im working on getting my first batch together soon.dan
dagabu Posted April 22, 2011 Posted April 22, 2011 It is possible to make dragon's eggs from flash powder ? No, flash powder is not what you want to use and seeing your rockets, it looks like you need to spend some time learning and reading before you venture further into pyro.
