That was cool. I haven't seen that effect before, it must depend on the particle size of the aluminum. What was the Skylighter CH number? I have some CH0155 mixed firefly but it doesn't give that effect.

the firefly i got from skylighter is CH0150

this was really a good effect

Hmm, 10-12 mesh? I would have passed over that thinking it was too coarse to be any use, and too expensive at $22/pound to find out. I learn something new every day.

We just finished a group buy for S101 and S102 firefly over on Passfire, it was less then half that price and when mixed together, the effect is rather stunning. A membership over there is worth every penny.

Thunderboy, nice effect!!!

Your firefly Al is about 10-12 mesh (1000-2000 microns). I cant get the image of this type of Al from skylighter. Is your product somewhat like this:

http://www.keten.com.pl/flitter.jpg

On the image there is Al flitter from http://www.keten.com.pl and it is - 1000um 79% ; 2000um 21%.
