Mardec Posted September 13, 2006 Posted September 13, 2006 Thx gonna try that out on my new 3" shells. I just payed the order for my ball mill so It will be here in 2 weeks. Tomorrow I am going to cast my lead media. So when I have good bp I finaly can go beyond 2" Btw Al, your shells is beyond anything professional I have ever seen. Saturday I am going to another show, mayby they got something new this year. Their biggest shells normally are 6" mayby 8". But always the same boring effects. Just one colour of effect. They never used pistil. Or double colour + dragon eggs.At least non I remember from last year. Nevertheless they fire over 300 shells and have a lot of other commets/mines. And also a lost of ground stuff like wheels and gerbs. Conclusion: You are a real pyro master making such a nice shell
Von Bass` Posted September 13, 2006 Posted September 13, 2006 That was a true work of art there Al - loving the sound! Gets my vote for win so far! Could someone be so kind as to explain what pistils are? I assume they are some type of star, is it some different method of creation that generates a different effect? Thanks
Mumbles Posted September 13, 2006 Posted September 13, 2006 A pistil is just a grouping of stars in the middle. It is generally defined as being non spherical. Just a splotch of color in the center. Generally they just kind of hang there.
