dagabu Posted January 19, 2011 Posted January 19, 2011 Come take a look in the Agora, I have some tubes and end disks posted.
killforfood Posted January 19, 2011 Posted January 19, 2011 Forgive my ignorance Dagabu but what would this size tube typically be used for? I'm just wondering if I have a need for them and just don't know it yet. Keep in mind that I'm sticking with basic BP comps to start with.
dagabu Posted January 19, 2011 Author Posted January 19, 2011 These are 3" long 4 oz tubes but are not 5" long like a normal core burner tube, these are specifically for end burning rockets, Girandolas, Monocopters and the like. We always use BP in end burners due to the pressures that faster fuels make. Size I.D. ausgoty Posted January 19, 2011 Posted January 19, 2011 They look like they would make a mighty fine whistle rocket, would definately like some. What are the logistics of shipping to Australia? Would love 200-400 if it can be done.

It CAN be done buy I don't think it is worth it for either of us. I think it would be better if you Aussies did a group buy so only one box has to go down under. This sale is primarily open to the lower 48 states since I get the USPS boxes for free. Edited January 19, 2011 by dagabu
ausgoty Posted January 19, 2011 Posted January 19, 2011 Yes Hobbyhorse quoted me $70 freight for a simillar order, which I decined. I know people who ship clothes and things from the States for $20,00 or less, not sure how they do that?? I won't hold my breath on the group buy thing. Manilla folders and PVC glue for me! One day I will save up and get $1000 worth from Hobbyhorse, then I'll never need to buy or make another tube again.

If you can find the way they ship it to you, I will send them but I have arranged five buys to Europe and Australia so far and every time it has fallen through due to postage rates. Let me check the USPS quick, Ill post the rate, what city? PM me with the answer. $43.23 US to Canberra Edited January 19, 2011 by dagabu
FrankRizzo Posted January 19, 2011 Posted January 19, 2011 "Surface Mail" used to be the cheapest way to ship things to Australia, but I think that service went away 2 or 3 years ago. I believe anything over ~4lb goes via air these days.

killforfood Posted January 21, 2011 Posted January 21, 2011 Would a 3” inch BP end burner hold enough comp to lift a small header? I’m thinking it might be a fun size to practice lofting small star payloads with. I recently read a tutorial on making screen cut colored Parlon stars that dry fast and can be shot the same day. Sounds like a fun small project with the kids.
pillyg Posted February 20, 2011 Posted February 20, 2011 Great tubes!!!I think they have some good power killorfood. Ive lifted some small headers.
