pillyg Posted March 5, 2011 Posted March 5, 2011 http://www.instructa...Cracker-Rocket/i know its not a vid, buuut, urgh Doesn't seem that bad. Just a firecracker
madmandotcom Posted March 5, 2011 Posted March 5, 2011 its effectively a cannon though, it is very different from a rocket
DasSchaben Posted March 6, 2011 Posted March 6, 2011 SB15: Sorry about that. I meant to link to somebody else, probably someone who linked to you. It was awhile ago, so I don't remember who that person was. It was the wrong URL, anyway. I liked the way you responded to that person. It made me laugh, which might be why you ended up in my bookmarks folder along with Mr. Nitroglycerin, tnt, explosion fire death pyrotechnics pyro black c4 TD destruction burn amputation blindness warfare. You're sane. You're intelligent. No comment on the other guy. As for YouTube ... whatever, as long as nobody gets hurt.
pillyg Posted March 6, 2011 Posted March 6, 2011 its effectively a cannon though, it is very different from a rocket Yeah but a cannon isn't bad either. Unless they are shooting it at themselves or someone else i think its just fine.
donperry Posted March 10, 2011 Posted March 10, 2011 Thanks for posting all these videos. I can definitely see the dangers in them, esp the flash powder ones and in their technique.
MadMax Posted March 18, 2011 Posted March 18, 2011 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UyYsozGo818 I have a funny feeling that the only reason there weren't any thumbs down on this video is that anyone having replicated this did not survive long enough to click the dislike button on youtube.
Zeus Posted March 21, 2011 Posted March 21, 2011 (edited) Perhaps they didn't have thumbs to turn down?

I'm not opposed to such videos if it weren't for legal considerations, Darwin's theory demonstrates that k3VV|s will be weeded out of existance eventually.

Unfortunately they then make it harder for those legitimately interested in energetic compounds and mixes.

[Edit: Oops, I said basically what NHIL said, sorry] Edited March 21, 2011 by Zeus
NightHawkInLight Posted March 21, 2011 Posted March 21, 2011 Out of all the dangerous and stupid modifications I've seen to consumer fireworks, it was nice to see a little kid who actually created something pretty cool: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j31n0_RpIw4&feature=related Reminds me of what I used to do when I had a pocketful of fireworks.
PyroPoss Posted March 30, 2011 Posted March 30, 2011 there is a bunch of tards out there http://www.youtube.c...feature=related http://www.youtube.c...feature=relatedthis whole channel is a smear of crap on our hobby http://www.youtube.c...antiswattt2#p/u wonder how many fingers this one has cost http://www.youtube.c...D841EE&index=79 excelent mixing method (NOT) and love how he test some about 1m away from the 100g he has mixed http://www.youtube.c...h?v=_UFGl0Jaty4compsoition is a recipie for disaster and there are thousands more we can never clean it up well The guy calling himself Antiswatt is no longer active. He lives in my country and he has been sent to jail(don't know for how long) for making bombs and as the police said it. A new kind og teorrist. I once had a chat with him over youtube. And that blew my mind, how many unstable explosives he was making. He had no clue what he was doing....Thank god he was taking down before someone was hurt. PP
Peret Posted March 31, 2011 Posted March 31, 2011 ... sent to jail(don't know for how long) for making bombs and as the police said it. A new kind og teorrist. I know what point you're making, but please, the word "terrorist" is way too much used and abused these days for people who are nothing of the kind. A terrorist is someone who would make a bomb filled with nails and set it off in a mall on Saturday afternoon in order to terrify people, not some guy - however misguided - who makes dangerous things and sets them off for his own amusement. The bloody government doesn't need any help and encouragement from us to overreach itself. In a similar vein, that guy in Texas who was buying ingredients to make picric acid has been charged with making a "weapon of mass destruction". For all I know he may be a jihadist and guilty as hell of something, but I'm old enough to remember when "weapons of mass destruction" meant chemical, biological, nuclear, and we were greatly embarrassed when Saddam Hussein turned out not to have any. If the government succeeds in setting a precedent that this now means making an ordinary explosive device, we could all be in deep shit. If I were on the jury I'd be obliged to find him innocent, on that charge anyway. <descends from pulpit>
pillyg Posted April 21, 2011 Posted April 21, 2011 no not really, these guys are the idiots Yeah, and by a street with lots of cars. Wow...
Ralph Posted April 21, 2011 Posted April 21, 2011 Yeah, and by a street with lots of cars. Wow... their polish the land were vodka is cheap and explosives are somewhat unregulated
MadMax Posted April 22, 2011 Posted April 22, 2011 I could just see some kid walking up wondering what that smoke is coming from. Yeah, and by a street with lots of cars. Wow...

Vrizla Posted May 26, 2011 Posted May 26, 2011 what is really scary is the Kid''s making giant salutes with a clandestine setup, everything they use for I guess what you could call flash, they buy at Walmart.. They run aluminum balls through rock tumbler and either use stump remover or some way of extracting perchlorate I forget how. But it's dangerous their parents need an ass kicking.
PersonGuyDude Posted June 5, 2011 Posted June 5, 2011 How hard is it to stick to good ole' 70/30, or slow nitrate flash >.<If I see another video of retards making 10g+ KMno4 "bombs" I'm gonna nurdrage
MadMax Posted June 24, 2011 Posted June 24, 2011 Another dumb kid making garden store black powder grinding it by hand and then igniting it .right next to the open BP jar. Not to mention he said to make flash powder you just use magnesium instead of the charcoal. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x9LyjyDsPhE
Mumbles Posted June 24, 2011 Posted June 24, 2011 Did he really say that potassium nitrate is also known as sodium nitrate at around 1:28?
stckmndn Posted June 24, 2011 Posted June 24, 2011 Yes, but it's impossible to keep it existing without specialist equitment keeping it under special conditions. i wouldnt worry about it, its unlikely youll ever, EVER find it, touch it, or even see it. sorry, couldn't help it
MadMax Posted June 29, 2011 Posted June 29, 2011 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XQLgQdSgzY8 Another one BP moron. Lets see... He is baking a pan of alcohol soaked BP/titanium in the oven at 220 until it dries. Then he goes on to ball mill it - with the titanium flakes added! Then he ignites a huge pile of it with a cigarette lighter and a 1 inch length of visco. I suppose the fact that he was using activated carbon instead of decent charcoal might have been his one saving grace.
stckmndn Posted June 29, 2011 Posted June 29, 2011 That is some sad bp. A green mix would be faster. And safer.
