Likely slow burning, and sparks that make it back to the ground.

I bet it will make a slow burning compound, but dont use sawdust, like from a saw. That formula IIRC calls for sawdust that is highly powdered like from a power sander.

Correct me if I am wrong, and I often am, but that would be wood meal, no?

I made mine from ballmilling sawdust overnight with SST balls. It also cleaned my mill out very nicely BTW ;)

Hmm.. Now that I think of it. you are probably right. Ive never used it, so you would know better than I. I bet it would clean your mill pretty well man.

Was the sawdust really dry? I would've thought it would just polish everything and not really be reduced...

When I need wood meal (priming is the only thing I use it for) I just screen sawdust with a 60 or 100 mesh screen IIRC.

Fulcaneli says that wood meal is finer then 100 mesh, I'm not sure how fine it is supposed to be nor do I know if it matters at all. The cascading of the balls turns sawdust to powder, dry or not, you do have to sift it though and I only use a 60 mesh to sift wood, it clogs up my 100 mesh screen to badly.
