TheSidewinder Posted December 26, 2010 Author Posted December 26, 2010 What was your favorite theme? EDIT: If it was Clean Cut..... it's back.
TheSidewinder Posted December 26, 2010 Author Posted December 26, 2010 NOTE: Downloads has changed a fair bit, but I think the new version is better.
Ralph Posted December 26, 2010 Posted December 26, 2010 sure was thanks downloads section is nice the social networking options seem a bit pointless INMHO ?
TheSidewinder Posted December 26, 2010 Author Posted December 26, 2010 Facebook and Twitter.... personally, I'd agree. But they're in high demand these days, so we'll see how it goes. IP.Board Classic Blue skin coming back next....
TheSidewinder Posted December 26, 2010 Author Posted December 26, 2010 Aannnd.... the Formulary Database is online.

dagabu Posted December 27, 2010 Posted December 27, 2010 The layout of the formula and chemical database are not my favorite at all, I appreciate the way they are laid out on Passfire much better.
Mumbles Posted December 27, 2010 Posted December 27, 2010 Now that you mention it Algenco, most of the pm's you had sent to me are now closed. I have no idea what happened here.
Algenco Posted December 27, 2010 Posted December 27, 2010 RAndom photo gallery pics at the top of the page are no longer random
TheSidewinder Posted December 28, 2010 Author Posted December 28, 2010 Gallery pics are random again. PM's.... wtf. Those should not have changed in any way. EXACTLY what have you noticed with them? Unread ones now marked as read. Open ones marked as Red-X and closed? More info, please? Skins.... none were removed. APC Lite is the one I think you mean? It's still there. Using it now, in fact. I do see one issue I have to fix with it though.
TheSidewinder Posted December 28, 2010 Author Posted December 28, 2010 Followup re: PM's... Go to your main messenger. Upper left, you'll see folders "New" and.... "My Conversations". Check them both. Are the "missing" PM's in one of those?
Algenco Posted December 28, 2010 Posted December 28, 2010 ahhh, found them! Had to go into profile-messenger. Thanks
dagabu Posted December 28, 2010 Posted December 28, 2010 (edited) Hey!! The formula database is screwy, no C6H5, no NaC7, kinda hard to post whistle comps without Benzoates! In fact, this is supposed to be an AMATEUR site but all the chems in the drop down are chemical composition nomenclature and not common names. Not liking it at all. Edited December 28, 2010 by dagabu
Mumbles Posted December 28, 2010 Posted December 28, 2010 I noticed that before. It was a work in progress so I never got around to trying to fix things like that. There are still several things I'd like to do to it.
dagabu Posted December 28, 2010 Posted December 28, 2010 Will you be allowing for chems to be added? I would be glad to help. Also, the common names are used more often then the chemical nomenclature.
Mumbles Posted December 28, 2010 Posted December 28, 2010 Try going to the chemical page, you should be able to see the entire entry. http://www.amateurpyro.com/forums/page/chemicals.html Is there a button in the top right called "add record". It's just above and below the chemical listing, about on line with the page 1,2,3..... options. That's what is used to add chemicals. I was trying to put the common name under proper name, and the other lesser used names in the common names for the most part. You will notice the chemist in me took over a bit, so you have Bismuth (III) Oxide instead of Bismuth Trioxide, etc. I just need to figure out how to make that field the one it gets sorted by instead of chemical formula.

That would be great, often times I am grabbing a formula quick as I am running to the shop, I am no chemist and cannot use the nomenclature so I would have to go all the way back home to reprint it...
TheSidewinder Posted December 28, 2010 Author Posted December 28, 2010 Go ahead and add Chemicals. If you don't get it 100% right, one of us will correct it. And the version of IP.Content that we have now has a lot more to it than the version we first used to create the databases. So, yeah, I'm sure sort options will be able to be changed to suit us.
