Cake , or no cake

I have been dabbling in this hobby for 10 years or so, I particularly enjoy reactive targets. My question is a general one....If a chemical is without "anti-cake" and it cakes, can it be reprocessed, to return to it's original powder form?

Thank You in advance. And, I am specifically talking about chlorate, Although I'd be curious about other chems. as well.

Yes, there is no loss or change in the chemical composition when returning the chem to a free flowing state. I do not use Chlorate so I cannot speak to the methods used to break it up and get it flowing but with pot-perc I simply use a breaker bar (my chems are in 5 gallon buckets) and break out a lump, place it in a heavy bag and use a rawhide mallet to break it into smaller lumps and then run it thought a 4 mesh screen then a 20 mesh screen.

If I am going to use it right away, I will run it through a 100 mesh screen first. If I am just assembling my chems for a comp later on in the week or month, I add 1/2 teaspoon of cab-o-sil to a quart size container of my chem, mix and screen twice through a 20 mesh screen and store.
