Voryon Posted December 26, 2010 Posted December 26, 2010 oops, wrong one Blesser #27 Ammonium perchlorate 48 Magnesium atomized 100-325 mesh 28 Stontium sulfate 19 potassium dichromate 5 Thanks alot to you guys! Unfortunately this is the answer I didn`t want to get, as I refuse to do the dichromate coating of the magnesium. I`ve tried a quite similar blue strobe formula (really small batch) with untreated mg to see "how" storage stable the stars are, but they consumed the mg in about 1-2 weeks leaving white crumbly powder. So if there is no other way than boiling a dichromate solution off in a pan full of magnesium powder to produce relatively "safe" stars, there is no way for me to recreate that incredible effect, now I am a bit disappointed... Nevertheless I´ll safe that formula and see what the future brings.

I will get to using it sometime but not till summer.
davis050594 Posted January 5, 2011 Posted January 5, 2011 You could probably use another glitter and get a similar effect
