I'd like to share two of the 8 shells I fired the 24 august. I think they are most beautiful, but it doesn't mean some of the others were not, but that the camera didn't capture well their effects. I'm posting you the most well captured, with the highest overall score: filming, comet length, delay, effects

Description of the first shell:

 

Material: Paper (hemispheres from pyrodirect)

Pasting: Virgin kraft 30lbs 12 layers

Delay: 6mm time fuse, 25mm, chinese maybe.

Stars: Winokur 20, 10mm, cut.

Prime: Meal

Burst: BP on rice hulls 6:1

Comet: I forgot the composition, but I remember it contained atomized Al, KNO3, S and Fe2O3. (can you help?)

Weight: 135g

Lift: 14g BP

Shell total weight: 158g

Shell diameter: 71mm

Fusing: Two strand QM.

 

 

Description of the second shell:

 

Material: Paper (hemispheres from pyrodirect)

Delay: 6mm time fuse, 25mm, chinese maybe.

Stars: Chryzanthemum 8 10-11mm sized.

Prime: No prime

Burst: Hot H3 roughly granulated

Comet: Two C8 stars on top

Weight: 118g

Lift: 12g BP

Shell total weight: 140g

Shell diameter: 71mm

Fusing: Two strand QM
