Algenco Posted August 21, 2010 Posted August 21, 2010 I tested my first ever shells a week ago, major disappointment I had made 3- 3" shells, 2 newspaper hemis and 1 canister All 3 only went about 150" both round shells had very soft breaks The canister blew out the top edge and didn't light the stars I was using commercial airfloat charcoal Move ahead a week or so Tonight I again tested 3 shells 2-3"newspaper hemis1-3" canister I made Paulownia charcoal and put more wraps on all the shells I also added comets to all 3 Success!!!! They went 4-500' with beautiful hard breaks I'm pumped!!!!!!!!!!!!!! T

Algenco Posted August 21, 2010 Author Posted August 21, 2010 I was depressed, it was a first attempt and I didn't expect much, but it was still diaspointing. Now I'm fired up and ready to start cranking them out!! I'm starting 5 new shells tonight
