MrKC Posted July 18, 2010 Posted July 18, 2010 What is the name of the effect that is shooting from the bridge @ in this video? They look like mines, but they fire continuously from the same tube for about 15 seconds. Is it a fountain of sorts? Or a roman candle type effect? I am curious.
NightHawkInLight Posted July 18, 2010 Posted July 18, 2010 Those look like cakes of many single shot comets aimed in a V formation.
optimus Posted July 18, 2010 Posted July 18, 2010 (edited) I think that's a whole load of fanned candle barrages, similar to the attached photo but on a larger scale. They appear to fire from the same tube but it's actually roman candle tubes bundled together, hence the rapid fire effect. EDIT: could also be NightHawk's suggestion, I suppose they're pretty big stars for candles but either is possible. Edited July 18, 2010 by optimus
Ventsi Posted July 18, 2010 Posted July 18, 2010 Yes, they are most likely a bunch of cakes angled on pieces of plywood or similar. And optimus, I've seen 4" candles so thats not out of the realm of possibility, though those usually have stars or some really big comets in there.
