PyroBros Posted June 28, 2010 Posted June 28, 2010 Hey there everyone! Thought I would just say hello to all you guys/gals. I have been a long time lurker, but finally signed up! I have been a hobbiest for many years now. Thats not to say I have all the answers! Thats why I am here!! Currently I am making some 3" Shells using Skylighters Rubber screened stars. Anyone else try them? They are working great out of my star gun, but not so good in my shells. I think I have an issue with my booster, maybe too much? I am using BP coated Rice Hulls with 6 grams of whistle mix. So in advance, I would like to thank you guys for all the help! I am located in Central Florida, anyone else in the area? Thanks! Stay Safe!
pyrogeorge Posted June 29, 2010 Posted June 29, 2010 Hi PyroBros, i think that you use too much whistle mix in your shell.try less,2grams maybe.. in my shells i use 1gr FP.
PyroBros Posted June 29, 2010 Author Posted June 29, 2010 Thanks George! I will do that. I have always used Flash as my booster, but it seemed that it took away from the shell's beauty. Got a nice report with flash, but with whistle mix its a much different sound. That made it easier to pay more attention to the star color. (speaking from a spectator standpoint). I will let you know how it goes!
