Mumbles Posted May 31, 2010 Posted May 31, 2010 I had someone ask about this, so I figured I'd offer to everyone. A friend of mine is trying to offload some used steel firework guns. I can make no promises, but I thought I would put it out there***. He is only going to deliver them to the WPAG shoot, and PGI convention this year. If you wanted, I could potentially pick them up for you, and ship them. Due to cost, I am not even going to explore International shipping. I would kind of prefer to only offer this for moderately well established members, but anyone is free to contact me. Again I can make no promises this will go through, I do have somewhat limited space to haul stuff around, plus I am getting some myself. Please send me a PM if you're interested. He wants everything in before June 3rd (this thursday), so if you could send me a pm by noonish on Wednesday, it would be terrific. I would have put this in the Agora, but I figured it might get more exposure here due to the limited time frame. As written the prices are below: 3" and 4", 24" long - $245" and 6", 30" long - $30 *** - Also for personal selfish reasons of wanting to see more big multibreak shells.
marks265 Posted June 1, 2010 Posted June 1, 2010 I got mine all ready. One of them even had a stainless steel bottom plug!
Mumbles Posted June 1, 2010 Author Posted June 1, 2010 Oh yeah, I'm getting one of each myself, but I felt like others might be interested. They can be a little hard to come by. This came just in time. I think I might be testing some of them out this weekend. Here's hoping the drying god's are on my side.
Mumbles Posted June 7, 2010 Author Posted June 7, 2010 I just unloaded these from my truck, and they are a lot heavier than I remembered. I ended up picking up four 3" and 4" guns, and three 5" and 6" guns. They probably weigh over 400lbs. I might still be able to get them if anyone is interested. PM me if you're interested, but I can make no promises I can get any more. I misspoke when I mentioned the prices earlier. It's $1 per inch of DIAMETER. So a 5" gun is $5, not $30. Shipping is still probably the most expensive part. I included some rough weights below if you're interested. Assume it ships from Chicago. 3" - 19lbs4" - 25lbs5" - 38lbs6" - 45lbs
gordohigh Posted June 25, 2010 Posted June 25, 2010 I ordered 26 HDPE mortors from pyrodirect yesterday and the shipping was only 14 dollars however I know the weight of those steel guns is going to add quite a bit but still might not be so bad. Have you shot anything yet Mumbles? Good luck with them!
Mumbles Posted June 25, 2010 Author Posted June 25, 2010 I haven't shot anything yet. I plan to give a couple of them a try in a few weeks. If I can figure out how to fire them electrically, I am going to try a few fireballs for the 4th.
