madmax247 Posted May 26, 2010 Posted May 26, 2010 I reckon this is the biggest collection of pyrotechnic compositions i have ever come across. The books front pages states that it is to be passed around for free so its all free to download! Enjoy!http://www.mediafire.com/?zzy5jq5ljjt Let me know if anyone is in need of Robert Winokurs list of 40 glitter compositions
dagabu Posted May 26, 2010 Posted May 26, 2010 DO NOT OPEN THIS PAGE!!!!! It is a dummy front for an ad-ware attack.
madmax247 Posted May 26, 2010 Author Posted May 26, 2010 LOL no its not! Its mediafire, free file sharing. Ill upload to pyrobin instead if you want?
madmax247 Posted May 26, 2010 Author Posted May 26, 2010 For those who are a bit skeptical of mediafire, ive uploaded a copy to Pyrobin as well. http://pyrobin.com/files/a collection of pyrotechnic compositions.pdf
dagabu Posted May 26, 2010 Posted May 26, 2010 Thanks, I got it from PyroBin but even now, AVG still flags it for Ad-ware installation.
Mumbles Posted May 26, 2010 Posted May 26, 2010 If you're worried, it's just a copy and paste of Wouter Visser's composition page. It's nothing new. http://web.archive.org/web/20080209022807/http://huizen.dds.nl/~wfvisser/compoDB.html As far as Winokur's glitter formulas, the list you have was probably taken from here in the first place. You can match up some of the entry errors to know for certain. The list below has been somewhat corrected by the way. http://www.amateurpyro.com/forums/topic/67-winokurs-40-glitter-compositions/
madmax247 Posted May 26, 2010 Author Posted May 26, 2010 Wow you really are the grandmaster, you know what everything is and where everything is! truly impressive! Out of interest, which other sources would you say are good? I torrented a bunch of pdfs on pyrotechnics and that pdf was included, i wonder why avg flags it, its a pdf after all? Although i do understand pdfs can be infected.

I actually see some problems with all of the recipes, no instructions, chemical hazards etc. I think Mumbles will agree that buying some books that have tried and true comps in them, the published articles by Ned Gorski (skylighter.com) and Danny Creagen (http://www.wichitabuggywhip.com) are also great resources for information.
Mumbles Posted May 26, 2010 Posted May 26, 2010 Who needs more sources than the allmighty me? I've been around the internet based pyro resources for a long time. They start to look familiar after a while. Depending on what exactly you're looking for, some resources are better suited to different things. I think overall Pyrotechnics by Hardt is probably the best overall book resource. It touches on a little bit of everything, but also has some more military pyro sections. Passfire (passfire.com) is also excellent, and you get access to a large number of extremely talented and intelligent people in the forum. In addition to the two internet resources Dagabu mentioned, I am somewhat fond of this website:http://www.thegreenman.me.uk/index.html It has a decent mix of formulas, proceedures, devices, etc.
dagabu Posted May 26, 2010 Posted May 26, 2010 Sorry, I haven't had time to fully peruse GM yet. Lets be honest, there are a few SOBs over in Passfire as well. Thank you almighty one, shall I help you with your wings?
