Kraftpaper Posted April 12, 2010 Posted April 12, 2010 (edited) Hi Guys, I want to submit another shell to the contest, I fired this one last saturday. It was a 5 inch canister with 78 x 20mm golden streamer comets with a fuchsia pink/purple pistil.BP rice hulls and 20 gram flash booster.1400 grams total The way I filmed the shell is going to cost me some points I guess http://www.youtube.c...h?v=r0btxirFnt4 Regards, Kraftpaper http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r0btxirFnt4 Edited April 12, 2010 by TheSidewinder Embedded it for ya.
Weirdo Posted April 12, 2010 Posted April 12, 2010 Wooow, very beautifull shell. I really did want to see that in person .Very nice break for a cannister, do you have a prefire pic?
PyroMan LTU Posted April 12, 2010 Posted April 12, 2010 One of the best break's of a canister shells I have ever seen!Indeed, a good job, cheers! PyroMan
Kraftpaper Posted April 12, 2010 Author Posted April 12, 2010 Some prefire pics. The (old leftover) hulls on top where used as a last filler, under them are thouroughly coated hulls.
Weirdo Posted April 12, 2010 Posted April 12, 2010 Thanks for the pictures, very nice. Did you leave the canulla in the shell?
Kraftpaper Posted April 13, 2010 Author Posted April 13, 2010 Hi, I removed the canulle leaving a thin paper behind, I wrapped shoebox paper around the tube for easy removal and for keeping the booster/burst in place.
Cookieman Posted April 13, 2010 Posted April 13, 2010 Fantastic and beautifull shell!! just by looking at it I would never guess it was a canister shell.Great job!!
Kraftpaper Posted April 13, 2010 Author Posted April 13, 2010 Thanks dude! I am going to make another one exactly the same way, but maybe I will use a green strobe as a pistil. But I am not sure cause I really like that pink color.
Weirdo Posted April 13, 2010 Posted April 13, 2010 I like the pink color to, If you are making a shell with a green strobe pistil, try a farfalle. I've seen a movie of a double farfalle with green strobe pistil. That thing was magnificent.
Kraftpaper Posted April 20, 2010 Author Posted April 20, 2010 VERY NICE I'M GUESSIN THOSE WERE PUMPED STARS You guessed right. I don't use cut stars cause I hate that they are not exactly the same size.
smed112233 Posted May 14, 2010 Posted May 14, 2010 That was an incredibly beautiful shell! Great job. Would you mind sharing the gold streamer comp? That wasn't slow gold was it?

Thanks dude, it was a golden streamer composition but I modified it with tons of Titanium flake and Titanium powder. I don't remember which composition it was. Stupid. Pyro09 Posted May 20, 2010 Posted May 20, 2010 Congratulations, awesome shell! Did you spike the shell? How thick was the wall? I've built some 4" Canister, but the breaks weren't as symmetric as yours! Greetings, Pyro09
