2-1/2" Canister shell submission

My first submission

It's a 2-1/2" canister shell with white stars made with hardwood charcoal so they have a nice tail. 2Fg equvalent was used for the break and lift. The shell weighed 200grams and was lifted with 15grams of BP. Time delay fuse was a 7mm spollette rammed to a depth of 1" (cca. 3sec delay)

Very nice PGF. Good symmetry on the break for a canister! Love those tails too.

Nice job PGF.

That was an amazing break, especially since it was a canister. Also the stars were beautiful, with long lasting tails(which almost hit the ground from the looks of the video.)

Do you have a prefiring pic? Did you spike it? If you did (with that break I'll bet you did) what did you use to spike it? What was the composition for those stars?

Sorry for all the questions, but those are a few things I wouldn't mind knowing.

Great shell, man, great shell.

Hey all, sorry about the late answer but it's not exactly easy to find an internet spot on the canary islands ;)

1. Yes, i do have a pre-firing pic.

I spike the shells with hemp twine (1.5mm) which is extremely strong, i then paste the whole spiked shell with a thin layer of wheat paste so the string adheres better.

The composition for the stars was a simple white formula.

KNO3 - 72

Sulfur - 29

Charcoal - 3 (use commercial lumpwood)

Dex - 5
