dagabu Posted January 12, 2010 Posted January 12, 2010 I like to check in with the postings all day long but to do so, it has to be really quick and I find having to type a command in the keyboard to be frustrating. Is there a tool or trick that can help me start on the last reply?
TheSidewinder Posted January 12, 2010 Posted January 12, 2010 Use the little square icon to the left of the Post title in the listing page. Depending on the skin you use it's red or gold colored. That's supposed to take you to the first post made in the thread since your last visit. If there's no new post it won't appear, though. Umm... Firefox uses (of all things) the SPACEBAR to page down in a post, and SHIFT-SPACEBAR to page up. Or maybe that's just my Logitech KBD, I dunno.
Bonny Posted January 12, 2010 Posted January 12, 2010 Never knew about that one either... I've been looking the "old fashioned way" all this time.
Twotails Posted January 13, 2010 Posted January 13, 2010 The shift spacebar page up, and spacebar work for IE also.
TheSidewinder Posted January 13, 2010 Posted January 13, 2010 OK, good. What pisses me off is that PAGE-UP and PAGE-DOWN *don't* work, in FF at least, with this keyboard.
Mumbles Posted January 13, 2010 Posted January 13, 2010 Page up and page down works for me with firefox.
lostfido Posted January 13, 2010 Posted January 13, 2010 Page up and page down works for me with firefox. Arrows work for me also using Firefox. Can't you configure the keyboard strokes somewhere?I though I have seen that somewhere, but I could be wrong.
TheSidewinder Posted January 14, 2010 Posted January 14, 2010 I found out what it is. If I have the full driver package installed for this Logitech Keyboard/Mouse, then for whatever reason Page-Up/Page-Down just won't work. Remove them and use the Win 7 system drivers, and now they do work. Computers....... pfftt.
