Arthur Posted January 5, 2010 Posted January 5, 2010 I'm planning to make some 4 and 6" cylinders, What size card discs would be a good start please? They will be roughly one diameter tall with the lift then added to the bottom, is this fair. These will be finalé willows so the stars can come out and fall rather than make a huge burst radius in the sky.

Mumbles Posted January 6, 2010 Posted January 6, 2010 5 1/2" is traditional for 6". Assuming they're about the same buildup as 5", they should be fine, but cutting it down to 5 3/8" probably wouldn't hurt anything. I've been looking into getting an Allpax cutter and making my multibreak shells slightly undersized. I've been having trouble with oversized shells in fiberglass and HDPE guns. Luckily the steel guns are big at the club shoot.
