Ventsi Posted January 4, 2010 Posted January 4, 2010 This was one of my personal favorites of devices made so far. Specs:2.25" Tube ID 6-3/4" Winokur 25 Crossettes using Ti flash rolled shots. [First try at them with homemade tooling]Tiger Tail rolled on on Weingart Granite 3/16" cores, raspberry style. Regular piston made via. the NightHawk method. I think, I put around 10-15g of BP as lift.
NightHawkInLight Posted January 4, 2010 Posted January 4, 2010 Very nice! Lol @ the nighthawk method. Is that the technical term now given to forming a cardboard cup by forcing a disc into a pipe with the end of a sawed in half baseball bat?
Mumbles Posted January 4, 2010 Posted January 4, 2010 With such a refined method how can it not have such an elegant name? You know, in both of your videos, the camera pans away from the crossettes when they're breaking. They sounded good though.
Ventsi Posted January 5, 2010 Author Posted January 5, 2010 Is that the technical term now given to forming a cardboard cup by forcing a disc into a pipe with the end of a sawed in half baseball bat?I believe so yes. Never seen anyone else mention it so, its all yours! And Mumbles, both? Videos? There was only one video, just two links leading to it, and thats because we were on top a hill, and those crossettes were heading straight towards me/the camera man , I guess he probably started running. I know some other folks took a video of the show as well, I'll see if I can grab those videos.
Ventsi Posted January 6, 2010 Author Posted January 6, 2010 Here's a video from a bit further away, you can see everything. http://s102.photobucket.com/albums/m100/as...eTTZincmine.flv
