Twotails Posted January 3, 2010 Posted January 3, 2010 The voices in the videos are mine, my sisters, and my dads, I had earplugs in, sence i was filming and couldent cover my ears, thats why i seem to be talking loudly, you can skip to the last 20 seconds of each video to watch the shells launch, I had some crazy long fuse's on the morters, to allow for time to move away. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tlo_MlZlHY4 A 5g perch/Al salute, in a 1inch round plastic hemi. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K2JW5ZsKiv0 a 5g perch/Al salute, with sparkler stars(blown blind, knew it was going to happen, so no loss there), final weight of shell was 38g. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zrnrZPLOFIA a 1 inch ball shell, with KP based report, filled with AP blue stars, and crackling microstars. microstars seem to have failed to light. this was a last minute shell, put together in about 5 minutes last night. wasent made to be a salute, just ended up that way. The good thing is, I got them up there, now i know that, the next shell will be alot better. also the videos are poor(shot them in a snow storm)dident want to make three topics on these shells, just threw them into one.

Twotails Posted January 3, 2010 Author Posted January 3, 2010 yup, I made them that way so everyone would have enough time to scatter, like in the event of a missfire, and the shell would land on the ground. Im happy i got my timing settled, I think i used 1/2in or so of 1/8in visco wrapped in masking tape. the next thing i launch will have a rising effect, maby a flare. got the tubes rolled and drying now.
