s25 Posted July 5, 2006 Posted July 5, 2006 Hi all Over the past week or so I have been working rather hard to organise a Pyrotechncis supply site for Ireland and the Uk and I am just wondering if there is anything in particular you would like to see?And at what prices (come on people free does not count ) Thanks all in advance this is just a part of my market research
optimus Posted July 5, 2006 Posted July 5, 2006 Have a look at Inoxia.co.uk's product list for ideas about what's allready available, and pricing. Things I would love to see are: Finest Swedish gourmet Potassium Perchlorate with anti-cake.Ammonium PerchlorateGuanidine NitrateTetramethylammonium NitrateCoarse Ti sponge Exotic charcoals, including granulatedAny Mg and Mg/Al powders which aren't ludicrously over-priced, as everything on the web in the UK currently is.High quality, high mesh Strontium Nitrate Any chance of getting any of the above?
s25 Posted July 5, 2006 Author Posted July 5, 2006 By exotic charcoal what do you consider exotic?High quality, high mesh Strontium Nitrate -I think i can get thisAny Mg and Mg/Al powders which aren't ludicrously over-priced, as everything on the web in the UK currently is.-Can get decent al AT -250 MESH,And its cheapish. But as with all things everything on that list i will do my best to get!I am only listing things you should see in the near future
optimus Posted July 5, 2006 Posted July 5, 2006 By exotic I meant anything except pine or mixed hardwood. Things like balsa, grapevine, hemp, paulownia, various willows, etc etc... All the Magnesium and Magnalium powders I can find are too expensive. Al isn't a problem.
weknowpyro Posted July 5, 2006 Posted July 5, 2006 Yeah we need a cheap supplier of Kclo4,Kno3,Kclo3,Al,Ti,Mg,strotium nitrate,Barium nitrate and various binders such as red gum.
s25 Posted July 5, 2006 Author Posted July 5, 2006 I intend on having alder, willow, pine at the begining and branching out (sorry bad joke ) to include other woods,The next will probably be cedar.Magnesium -shouldnt pose a huge problem.Kclo4,Kno3,Kclo3,Al, -Should be available relativly soon after opening shop. Do you mind me asking if you could provide base prices?Because if you dont like the prices on Inoxia for example I would try to beat it or it would allow me what price to try and obtain off developers. As im sure you can understand in the begining stock will be relativly limited but we hope to improve our stock as the company expands,So please dont expect to be able to get some of the more exotic things straight away though we will be working hard for them .....
weknowpyro Posted July 5, 2006 Posted July 5, 2006 Well prices need to be fair really inoxia have great prices until you see the p+p. I mean for such things as kno3 i can pick up 500g for £5 inculding p+p so you need to have it around that.
s25 Posted July 5, 2006 Author Posted July 5, 2006 Would it be suitable at like 10 euro (6.94) per kilo of Strotium Nitrate or is that too high?I have contacted several companys and that is the first reply i got.
JamesH Posted July 5, 2006 Posted July 5, 2006 I would really like to see copper oxychloride, titanium and ferro-titanium powders (various types and sizes). Sodium salicylate and potassium or sodium benzoate would be nice too. Oh.. I almost forgot, as optimus suggested - ammonium perchlorate!
weknowpyro Posted July 6, 2006 Posted July 6, 2006 £6 would be a resonable price for the strotium i would think.
s25 Posted July 6, 2006 Author Posted July 6, 2006 I really appreciate all this,Currently I am trying to see what we should have in stock but as we got more money we should get allot more chems.
