Mumbles Posted December 21, 2009 Posted December 21, 2009 I got a new idea that just might work. You can still paste in your inserts, and spike them, yet avoid punching into live flash and still prefuse/slurry them. I am thinking you could roll up thick walled tubes, or use commercial tubes. Roll gummed kraft around the tube, leaving considerable over lap on the ends. Wet the center if you'd like. You can then drill and slurry fuse the inserts, drop disks over the thick wall, and fill with flash. You can then wet the gummed tape, and effectively paste the shells in. Then spike the inserts. Reverse the normal order by pasting before spiking. This college degree is already paying off.
firetech Posted December 21, 2009 Posted December 21, 2009 Might be a great idea, but I'm not exactly sure what you're saying.
Mumbles Posted December 22, 2009 Posted December 22, 2009 You seem to have been having a problem understanding me lately. I got bored, so I made a convenient diagram. 1 - Roll a thick walled tube/use a commercial tube. Roll a few turns of gummed tape around the whole thing so there is substantial overlap on each end. Drill a hole in the side, and fill with your delay. 2 - Drop a disk in on top of the inner tube wall. 3 - Activate the binder, and pleat down over the disk. 4 - Flip over and fill with flash. 5 - Drop another disk in over the inner tube wall. 6 - Activate and pleat down the gummed tape again. 7 - Spike the shell. 8 - Boom
Ventsi Posted December 22, 2009 Posted December 22, 2009 Ahh, thats excellent! This should really be posted in the tutorial section, no kidding!
dagabu Posted December 22, 2009 Posted December 22, 2009 You seem to have been having a problem understanding me lately. Nope, its me too. You guys are so brilliant that you think past the word picture that I can understand. The pictures help a lot and are easy to understand. (you college boys, sheesh!) D
firetech Posted December 22, 2009 Posted December 22, 2009 You seem to have been having a problem understanding me lately. I think I understood what you said the first time, I was just making sure. It turned out to be slightly similar to what I was thinking. And hey, you have to admit one of those last posts you made that I commented on made just about no sense...
Miech Posted December 22, 2009 Posted December 22, 2009 Mumbles, that's exactly how I did it, exept for that I didn't use spiking. I don't feel the need for spiking when the insert is filled with plenty of flashyness to report without end disks at all.
