usatrapper Posted November 23, 2009 Posted November 23, 2009 What are you currently working on? How long have you been working on it? When will you finish it? When Will you Launch it? Thought this would be a fun thread
psyco_1322 Posted November 23, 2009 Posted November 23, 2009 (edited) 4" Ball of Doom, redo of V.2 or maybe even a new V.3 .... possibly up to 5" and see what else I can cram in. Fly's when it gets made. First version, green ring, pink pistil, 7 timed salutes, and bottom shot: http://i108.photobucket.com/albums/n3/psyco_1322/S4024725.jpg http://i108.photobucket.com/albums/n3/psyco_1322/th_S4024726.jpg V.2, broke it too hard, neither green ring or purple pistil lit, salutes performance increased and bottom shot greatly increased in size: http://i108.photobucket.com/albums/n3/psyco_1322/S4024954.jpg http://i108.photobucket.com/albums/n3/psyco_1322/th_S4024955.jpg Edited November 23, 2009 by psyco_1322
firetech Posted November 23, 2009 Posted November 23, 2009 Nice work psyco. I'm working on a new years display with a friend of mine. Should be better than last years...
dagabu Posted November 23, 2009 Posted November 23, 2009 Nice work psyco. I'm working on a new years display with a friend of mine. Should be better than last years... Pumpkin Pie... sort of http://www.pyrobin.com/files/pumpkin%20pie.wmv D
Mumbles Posted November 23, 2009 Posted November 23, 2009 I don't know if they're projects yet, or just day dreams, but I have a few things that are being planned out in my mind. 5" quad break. 3 breaks of crossette comets with organic red, green, and blue inner petals/pistils respectively, and a bottom shot. I was inspired by the following video:http://www.pyroreview.com/gallery/data/514/85MVI_1545.AVI 10" ball shell to replicate this:http://www.japan-fireworks.com/gallery/reg...e_senrin910.jpg I've been toying with the idea of mini-maltese shells. All those big fancy multibreaks in a convenient 2" diameter. They're not all going to be maltese in effect or construction, but it just carries with it the connotation of large complex canisters. Plus it's my mind and I can call them what I want. Probably the most likely to be concieved into reality is the 5" 9 timed spider with crossette sfera final break.
derekroolz Posted November 24, 2009 Posted November 24, 2009 Pumpkin Pie... sort of http://www.pyrobin.com/files/pumpkin%20pie.wmv D HAHA....Hey! Your copying my method of making pumpkin pie, just when I do it I step quite a few more feet back.
usatrapper Posted November 26, 2009 Author Posted November 26, 2009 Pumpkin Pie... sort of http://www.pyrobin.com/files/pumpkin%20pie.wmv D That Multibreak was amazing, if you ever make that be sure to get a vid up.
Mumbles Posted March 31, 2010 Posted March 31, 2010 With spring upon us in the northern hemisphere, does anyone else have anything new in mind?
dagabu Posted March 31, 2010 Posted March 31, 2010 We are in the middle of a burn ban, no launching until May Until then, it is headings and rocket motors. D
TrueBluePyro Posted March 31, 2010 Posted March 31, 2010 I'm working on the 'Ring reports' that use those yellow Cap Plugs Thanks Dave! My 2nd attempt failed because a lot of the fuses didn't ignight but the break was good. But I fixed that with changing my method and formula of priming them. This is my 3rd attempt. Here is the slow motion of the shell The timeing isn't great, but that isn't what I'm looking for. I didn't get the whole shell in the video, but you can notice that there is a ring.
50AE Posted March 31, 2010 Posted March 31, 2010 I'm currently working on 3" and 4" cylindrical shells, multibreak and inserts. It's very cool.
TrueBluePyro Posted April 1, 2010 Posted April 1, 2010 Here is what I have been working on lately. It's improving http://www.truebluepyroforum.info/Forum/Smileys/default/smiley.gif It started with some testing and then went to this (here is the slow motion - ) That was my 3rd attempt I think and it wasn't bad, but wasn't great videoing by me. My 4th attempt, I used a 3" can instead of a 2". With 3" I'm about to fit 19 salutes in, unlike the 2" were I was only bale to get 11 in. This would have to be the best so far. Even the timeing isn't great, I really don't mind at this stage because I'm not looking for dead on timeing. Here is the video of the 4th attempt (best one so far) and here is the slow motion if you wish -
TrueBluePyro Posted April 1, 2010 Posted April 1, 2010 My fuse is fine. I just didn't glue them into the tubes. So they went off early.
PoorBoy Posted April 16, 2010 Posted April 16, 2010 I am making cut stars for the 4th, coating rice hulls etc. Right now I have Granite stars, D1 Glitter, Chrysanthemum of mystery, Chry #8,#6, tiger tail, Bill Ofca's Spider Web Gold. I'm waitin on underground gadgets to get this months order in so I can get more chems. Im still planning on making the whole veline color system as well as a variety of Al and Ti streamer stars. I have been collecting soup cans for use as cremora flame pots, Mg flash pots and such. I plan on having about 10 4" shells done, 20 3" shells, a few 2" for play. But the completly experimental project is a 4" can shell, I never made one before so I can't tell you whats gonna be in it lol. And my other experimental project is a 4" ball salute made with a Primary comp, a booster comp, and a secondary comp that I dont think I'm allowed to talk about. The experimental projects are only on the drawing board I still have much research to do before I can put my imagination into action. Oh yes, and a party isn't a party unless some one brings some pumpkin pie lol.
50AE Posted April 19, 2010 Posted April 19, 2010 (edited) I am currently making a star roller, because I'm tired of dusting my stars with meal powder and watching it falling out.The same thing goes to coated rice hulls. Edited April 19, 2010 by 50AE
