50AE Posted November 11, 2009 Posted November 11, 2009 I have something like a property in myself, like I think that something can be done better if tweaked For example, I'd like to know if I can make slightly better colors with these two compositions. Potassium chlorate 63Strontium carbonate 21Red gum 8Shellac 3Dextrin 5 It makes a good deep red, but it goes a little pink, not blood like red. Some say that shellac improves the red color. Should I try to replace the rest of the red gum with shellac ? Potassium chlorate 66.5Black copper oxide 13.4Parlon 5.4Red gum 9.9Dextrin 4.8 It makes a very acceptable blue, but some say about the perchlorate version that if they substitute the red gum with hexamine, the color is better. Is it true ?
