Mumbles Posted August 26, 2010 Posted August 26, 2010 As far as I know it's still available through Skylighter.
toster Posted January 24, 2011 Posted January 24, 2011 What are other books that are good to download and read? I am trying to get Fireworks Principles and Practice By Rev. Ronald Lancaster through interlibary loan.....but that is taking quite a while....
Mumbles Posted January 24, 2011 Posted January 24, 2011 Unfortunately most other books are under copyright, so they have to be purchased to be legally obtained. The ones that are no longer under copyright typically are outdated, or in a foreign language. You may want to try to get a copy of Chemistry of Powder and Explosives by T. L. Davis. Passfire, and Danny C's site (www.wichitabuggywhip.com) are both excellent resources as well.
moondogman Posted February 21, 2011 Posted February 21, 2011 Anyone got a copy of turbo pyro they can e-mail me?? This is my first post by the way. Ive got somone making some tooling for 1# bp rockets and ive got a used harbor freight rock tumbler to get started with making bp. Are there any other downloadable pyro books out there? I tend to read on the computer more than out of a book. Thanks Steve
TheSidewinder Posted February 22, 2011 Posted February 22, 2011 You'll have to get it from Skylighter when it's offered for free. It's copyrighted material, so please don't ask for things like that here.
SolarSeeker Posted February 22, 2011 Posted February 22, 2011 The link takes me to a web archive which says that the domain name is no longer hosted but may be available for sale.Is there somewhere else I can download the book?
Mumbles Posted February 22, 2011 Posted February 22, 2011 It doesn't matter, the link was to another post on this forum that is no longer offering the file anyway. You have to get it directly from skylighter now.
masterofinfinity Posted February 15, 2012 Posted February 15, 2012 As a beginner, the Turbo Pyro kit and book was a great help in teaching me the basic principles behind most of the fireworks I was hoping to make. It made it relatively inexpensive to try a variety of projects and decide what I liked the best. I look forward to trying some of the projects on a larger scale now!
FRCHQ Posted December 12, 2012 Posted December 12, 2012 Has the Turbo Pyro book been updated since the beginning of this thread? Just wondering if it's still relevant for beginners. I'm just starting out now.
Mumbles Posted December 12, 2012 Posted December 12, 2012 It's probably been updated a little, but they definitely didn't take out any of the good information. It should still be an excellent beginners resource.
dagabu Posted December 13, 2012 Posted December 13, 2012 There have been a few significant updates since it's original writing. You can shoot Ned Gorski (the author) an email and find out what was added since 2009. He has an email link on Skylighter and on Fireworking.com, his new web site. -dag
MrB Posted December 13, 2012 Posted December 13, 2012 To bad the free pdf-book isn't available anymore, i think i got it stored somewhere, but this question keeps coming up every now and then...B!
dagabu Posted December 13, 2012 Posted December 13, 2012 Just send an email to Ned, he can answer all your questions. -dag
