Swede Posted May 15, 2009 Posted May 15, 2009 I think it depends upon the quality of the tupperware, as there are a number of generic "brands" that I don't think seal too well. I live in TX too, and it's been a humid spring so far. There are some bag choices... a lot of guys use ziploc bags, and I do too to some extent, but I find handling them and sealing them to be a PITA, as the ziploc channel collects chemicals and can be a pain to seal. I greatly prefer bags that are closed with the wire tie thingies (I can't think of what they're called) and then inserted into the plastic container of your choice. There's a guy that sells inexpensive HDPE containers on ebay: http://stores.ebay.com/DudaDiesel-Alternative-Energy He also sells a few chems that might be of use. Anyway, I've bought a large number of his containers and have been happy with them. They stack. For bags, it's hard to find bags these days that AREN'T ziploc, but one option are the so-called "Party Bags" that can be found in craft stores. They are clear, come in a variety of sizes, and are really cheap. These are the bags moms put party-favors in for birthday parties and such. Or, you can go to U.S. Plastics and go crazy with bags and containers. Chems that are particularly hygroscopic get double-bagged, as do messy chems like airfloat, lampblack, etc. Just some thoughts. I like an orderly work area, with chems well-protected from the nasty outside world, until they are ready to do their duty!
TYRONEEZEKIEL Posted May 17, 2009 Author Posted May 17, 2009 True stuff man, A clean work area is best. I did get tupperware brand I believe, and the tubs do stack. They have silica gel packets in them, and the little containers are stored in a big tupperware bucket thing. The cooler sized ones. As I grow in the hobby, it looks like I may have to invest in some quality storage
