starlight Posted April 13, 2009 Posted April 13, 2009 I have performed a worthy, blue report, enclosed in a cardboard tube by replacing the copper oxide copper acetoarsenite black, but 'have not made a blue flash, but reddish, it may' depend on a shortage of donor chlorine?

homebrewed77 Posted April 13, 2009 Posted April 13, 2009 I keep trying..Im not giving up yet! Sadly my budget as of late does not allow much tinkering..So for now, i have to stick to tried and true method's for me. BUT..if you have a break through please do shear!
TheSidewinder Posted April 13, 2009 Posted April 13, 2009 Gentlemen, This post comes very close to the line we've drawn regarding the discussion of Flash, and is being locked until Mumbles can review it. But even if he reopens it, experimenting with known (or alleged) formulas for Flash is dangerous in general, even if you know what you're doing. And if you only THINK you know what you're doing, but in reality do not, it's even more dangerous. Any formula calling for Paris Green is an *OLD* formula. Old doesn't necessarily mean dangerous, but it DOES mean you should be extra cautious right from the start. You substituted Copper Acetoarsenite for Black Copper Oxide in a Flash formula, without knowing ahead of time what chemical reactions would (or at least SHOULD) occur? That's foolish and dangerous by itself. Starlight, I see you're from Italy, and we do give some leeway to people for whom English is not their first language, but your first post is barely understandable. If you're using an online language translator, stop doing so. They never produce good results. Have someone who really understands English translate for you, please. We want everyone here to stay safe and healthy. Thank you.
