For the record, he didn't even have KNO3. It was just the same brand as Mumbles, but the NPK numbers were way off, and it equated to 10% KNO3.

Charming.

Unfortunately Swany, indeed it *is* KNO3. There are actually two different methods of computing NPK values, one uses the percentage of K2O while the other is simply the molecular weight percentage of potassium itself.

Good agricultural grade KNO3 can have numbers:

13.75 - 0 - 46

Or

13.75 - 0 - 38.6

Agreed.

I have a question for the American users on this forum. Have you ever taken the ACT and if so what was your highest composite score?

I just took mine for the second time and plan on taking it everytime it's offered this year. I would post my score but I'd rather see what I'm up against first. I scored good enough to take any college course I want at my school though, so that's good! :D

Too bad the courses are going to cost $400.00 a semester..... But it's so worth it.

Eh, my score was average, I got a 24. PM me what you got :-)

Uhh, its out of 36, right? If so, one sibling scored something like a 34 or 35, and others were similar, out of 3 siblings, the lowest thus-so-far was a 32, IIRC.

Perhaps I should be sparky. It was a spurious endeavor, and I have always wanted to do something like that, before chemistry even. Not as cool, now that the secrets of the life, the universe, and silly putty I have learned through chemistry.

Ok, this was too funny not to post. Thank you to the anonymous person who made it.

I think the artist here should win the nobel prize at least for the Jesus blood if anything.

True, the science section is a joke, I got a 36 both times. Weird, I know. I got a 28 and a 29, but taking best scores from each section I got a 34. Fuck reading and writing.

Just popping in, as I haven't been able to get anything done in a while.

Funny, 3 weeks into school and we are already about to be plowed by a tropical storm/hurricane. It is good that school has been canceled for 2 days, but I hope we don't loose power. Well, I'll find out in 4 hours.

Yes it is out of 36. The highest scored I've made so far is a 22. Not that great but still decent. I'm only a Jr. so I have plenty of time to improve before I graduate.

Scoring a 30 or above is VERY good. High 20s are also good but a 35? That's insane! Last time the science section was just merely answering questions from looking at graphs... not too scientific.

It hasn't even been a day, hold on. It's a rather exotic question. I have some copper, but never tried it in a fountain. It might make a kind of green spark. It's hard to tell without trying it. I say go for it. Just fyi, I wouldn't store it. Sulfur is incompatible with copper.

Yep, I made the whole thing in metalwork at school, my teacher did one weld, as I had never welded with that type of welder before. I will get a closer picture of the welds (one of the better ones :P ) when I bring it home, the pics were taken on my phone, so they are not good enough quality.

As for the pie I swapped, it was just one from the school canteen :P

I got a welding class at my new school this year so hopefully towards the end of the year I can build some nice goodies like that. :)

Yeah I hate the ACT. I am a good student and hold honor roll grades in College Prep classes. But I suck at the ACT....the problem is the tim limit..... I had never taken anything timed in my life!! That time limit totally blew me away! I had so many undone the first time.....and second time I took it I just rushed so fast I got tons wrong.

I never studied or took any prep classes or practice tests for it at all... But when it was all said and done I took it twice..... First time I got a 23, the second time I got a 24 Haahaha apparently thats where I belong. Nah I plan to take it again....maybe do a practice test for it or something to get prepared this time!!

Ironicallly my science section was my lowest score and my highest was reading....closely followed by English.....
