optimus
The link may be misleading - the site linking to it doesn't speficy that it definitely IS a chemical weapon. They say it's could either be that, or and FAE, either way some sort of dispersal device.... I thought someone here might recognise it and be able to confirm... Dr Boom
It is a tactical chemical release weapon- I've trained with a similar design in S. Korea. That model you have a link for looks like the nerve type due to the fin alignment. That model is either dropped from a plane or released from a missle head. The altittude switch (i'm sure there is one on that model) releases the contents as the weapon arcs over the target like a rainbow. The foot-print (area affected by contents) can tell you a lot about what kind of delivery system is used as well as how much of the contents there was and from what height. With this information you can assertain the direction of launch/ flight and possible counter measures for the next attact. Chem weapons are very ugly and are horribly inaccurate but when you need to affect a large area quickly without needing to fire a second time- it's the weapon of choice next to an H-bomb. _DB_
I have a question for all you Opeth fans, if there are any here. Is "Ghost Reveries" worth buying? I own a few of Opeth's albums and I love them, but I've heard that this album was bad for some reason. It can't be that bad though. It is Opeth after all! ULTRABUF
Dude, whoever told you Ghost Reveries sucked, you should like seriously make sure they dont have something wrong with them. Its an incredibly kick ass cd, and I liked it so much that I bought a few of their other cds and now they are basically my favorite band. I got Ghost Reveries, Blackwater Park, Damnation, and Deliverance, and I just ordered a couple Opeth shirts the other day. Sooo, yeah dude, definately buy it. BTW, which of their cds do you have? Mephistos Minion
If those fucking kykes use that on Lebanon there will be hell to pay! Ghost Reveries was OK I spose, I prefer the older albums, and my favorite song is Under The Weeping Moon, nice and oldschool black metalish It is good to know there are some other Opeth/Metal fans here. Draco, get on RO soon as possible, use the aussie servers, you will get owned by the =DoWoZ= guys to start with if you havn't played much, (Especially this Luther dude, he loves bayoneting people) I am starting to get up to there level though Also I have a question: Those "Cracking Whip" fuses have dragons eggs in them yes? _DB_
I have "Blackwater Park" and "My Arms Your Hearse" by Opeth. I prefer the latter though. I love Opeth but it took me a while to get into them at first. The long songs lengths bothered me for some reason. Opeth's vocalist Mikael Akerfeldt is one of the finest in metal IMO. It's a close call between him and Scar Symmetry's Christian Älvestam, but I think Mikael is a tad bit better. I love how he can switch from ominous growls to his beautiful clean voice with ease. Wow, I just called another male's voice beautiful..... that's kinda gay! In this case though, "beautiful" fits nicely. I plan on purchasing the entire Opeth discography soon though. Seeing their live DVD convinced me to do so. Also they have one of the sweetest logos in metal.
Mephistos Minion
I think Andreas Hedlund (AKA Vintersorg) from Borknagar has much better clean vocals, but still with some great black metal ones. A good example is Future Reminiscence, and Inherit the Earth, I'll grab some links. Remeber this is black metal not death like Opeth, so you might not like it much, bare with it though, it will grow on you. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e31Bp46wMlM&search=borknagar http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h-EqQfWnRxE&search=borknagar Borknagar are by far my favorite band, I really want them to tour down here in koalaland. ULTRABUF
Yeah I know what you mean about his voice. I'm trying to collect all their cds, I get a new one of theirs whenever I go to best buy, which isnt often. Anyway, Ghost Reveries has some really awesome songs on it. My favorites on the cd would have to be Ghosts of Perdition, Beneath the Mire, and Reverie Harlequin Forest. All the other songs are extremely good too, but if I had to choose these would be the top ones on the cd. You can listen to Reverie Harlequin Forest on their myspace page if you want, and they also have a video of The Grand Conjuration, which is another song from Ghost Reveries. Oh yeah, about the logo, I drew it the other day, and the O took me almost an hour to figure out which lines went where to make all those little circle things. The rest of the letters all together probably took about half an hour. It ended up pretty good though.BTW mephistos, thanks for putting those videos up, those are pretty cool. I'd heard of Borknagar before, but never listened to them. I like them now.
_DB_
I listen to some Black Metal such as: Dimmu Borgir (when they still were black metal), Cradle of Filth (technically their newer material such as Nymphetamine isn't Black Metal but older albums such as Dusk.... And Her Embrace are), Naglfar, and Old Man's Child. Other than that I'm more of a Melodic Death Metal guy myself. I also listen to some lighter music but metal is my favorite genre. _DB_
Trivium is definately not death metal. It sounds like you are more of a power and thrash metal fan.

_Po_
Speaking of the Israel conflict.... I hope they dont do too much damage to Haifa, that's were my KNO3 comes from!I was thinking the same thing when I heard they bombed the airport there, hahaha. I'm down to about 8kg in my sack (then there's about 20kg of other stuff lying around...but still...), I should probably stock up. A couple of weekends for a still? Sounds like you're doing it properly! It only took me a few minutes to bend a piece of pipe and drill a hole in a cork: Balancing it on the bench was the hardest part... See the nice healthy red colour of the brew in the erlenmeyer? Yeah...Healthy...Hahaha.

h0lx
OK i am tired of making blackmatch by hand and making a mess, so I am gouing to make a "machine" for it. Tell me what do you think of the design shown below? It will be had driven by spinning the final fuse roll.http://img341.imageshack.us/img341/8348/untitledgo0.th.png
Doubl3_HeLiX
h0lx, The only problem/flaw I see in your design is the fact that the blackmatch will still be wet when it goes onto the final fuse roll. Unless you aren't going to roll it up on that wheel, then I say to go ahead and make it. Looks good otherwise. If I may suggest another design; Here
d4j0n
I was wondering if anyone knew where to find a tutorial for paper spherical aerial shells. From what I gather, I simply glue the halves together and paste strips of kraft around the shell. Would be great to see more detail, though. joe609
just wondering how does zinc:sulfur reaction occur niether of them are oxidizers are they? yet the composition can deflagrate.
_DB_
I took a look at your site Doubl3_HeLiX and saw where you guys prank called the Xbox support line. I had a good laugh! Swany
Oxidiser and reducer is just defined by electron transfer, not by actaully having oxygen. Oxidisers donate electrons, reducers accept them, in short.
h0lx
ok I made the machine, not with roll, with a |______| shape piece of wood and a few simplifications. Works fine, only I made the "scooper" too small so I need to drill the hole larger because it didn't leave enought goop on the string. I will get pics with next batch.
