I can see a $10 cover if there's a righteous band playing.

But if not? Then yeah, they damn well better have the barely-clad waitresses feeding me grapes and ambrosia.

AND cleaning up when finished. Umm ..well you know... a napkin or something.

With live music, it's a different story. I believe my friend wanted to go to this other bar ($10 one), due to there being "hella cougars" there. His words, not mine. Apparantly the cougar level was not up to his liking :)

Not always neccesarily my thing, but my friend was very adamant about this whole endeavor. I'm not even sure why, he has a long time girlfriend. Apparantly this place is well known for the population of women that inhabit it.

If it's any indication of the state of mind he was in, I woke up to a couple of these in my car. Full ones. He said he had to hide them, and apparantly my car was the ideal spot. Indoors just would not do.

Though one time I did bring my mom along to a WPAG shoot, and a few people thought she was my girlfriend. I had a good laugh about that when I found out.

I'm new to the site. Just thought I would find a place to say hi and let everyone know I joined. Lots of good things to read here, I like it!

A bud of mine has 1.3G connections and dropped me off a couple presents yesterday. Of course I had to dissect some :{)

All well built stuff!

Some crappy cam phone pix-

A 6 pak of "one shot" tubes... 6" high 3/4 bore single shot. About .5 Tsp <graphite coated?> BP lift, a color to report can inside. About 3 grams flash... bright + dark Al from what I can tell. They pop pretty good about 50-75 foot up

http://i471.photobucket.com/albums/rr72/esalink/0107090750.jpg

Also some 3" shells. SOLID. Dual spollettes..on a 3"! Lifted with 25g! of fine BP, graphite coated I guess again...shiney grains, maybe 40 mesh? Shell weight 144 grams.

The 3" shell without the lift exposing the fusing

And COOL dual port QM! The quickmatch at the "Y" of the ematch and fusing ports...and it's 5 strand! Crap EXPLODES when lit.

Overall, very impressed with the quality of this stuff...

I have seen that kind of quickmatch split for e-match or hand lighting on most of the shells I have worked with, the paper tape holding the plastic thinger in place really sucks when it starts getting humid out.

Hmmm I'll try to keep one till July. As of now it's 15°F and less humidity than... oh never mind.

I've also seen that type of ematch "plug" on many shells at shows I've worked. They are very handy when emathing though, just plug in the ematch, wrap the wires and you're done!

I don't know how he got it... But I need a new star pump.

Damn dog.

Oh and check out what I got out of my ball mill. Quite a drug! I just had to take a photo.

I decided to make a new black match machine, it was loosely based around the design from passfire. It is only two stranded but I will use two strands of it in my QM.

And on a slightly more random note, seeing as there are a few canine companions on this thread...

I would like to get a German Shepard or an Australian Cattle dog one day when I have the room, at the moment I think I have a cat - a Russian Blue my brother picked up at the train station when he was making his way home shitfaced which we subsequently gave away but got back somehow?

Best cat I have seen, doesn't meow or make any noise and I can count the times I have seen it in the past week on one hand :D

Rocky - sadly he is one big pussy and runs away from anything and everything

Nice looking machine, Yankie! Do you fill the outer area with slurry, or the inner? Or both? What is the purpose of the inner tubing? Couldn't you simply run a dowel rod down there to cause the match to change direction?

That machine is going to make a LOT of BM.

WarezWally, I have the Russian Blue twin of Rocky here in the US. He was my daughters cat and when she moved out and the cat stayed. Actually, I'm good with that; he eats less, never needs a ride, doesn't run-up my phone bill, never leaves the lights on, doesn't run the car out of gas, never "borrows" money, and never has PMS. The one weird thing about him is he HATES kids. He very personable with guests over the age of 12, but he gets his back up and hisses at small children. He's an old grey guy, doesn't like new people, wakes up every day at 4:00 A.M., hates any changes in his daily routine, ....Hell, maybe he thinks he's me.

No way I would pay that much for a torch like that, see if you can find something out of China that will do what you want. Touches are fairly simple devices and the LED based ones I have purchased have been excellent. They use the same (and sometimes better) diodes and circuitry and the build quality is fairly good (its just a CNC milled chunk of Aluminium)

It is a touch expensive yes

Surefire torches are a little like Wolter tools. Wayyyyy over-engineered. Holding one in your hand is a joyous experience which is more than can be said for the Chinese copies.

I have their M4 model. It's a beast. I only really want the one I linked to because it's called 'optimus' like me! :D

You're right though, no way am I paying that much for it.
