tentacles
mm: Why not get a free alternative to Word if you don't have the real thing? Try OpenOffice or 123Office or something.
flying fish
Me and my brother had a little fun with snowmen over the Thanksgiving holiday: http://ca.youtube.com/watch?v=pp20mm-Iyg4 Er....I guess the last part was a little kewl-ish, but I just couldn't resist but dump a small amount of blackpowder into a snowman's head to see what might happen... Yankie
Almost finished my new year eves preparations, 45 shells (sixteen 1.75", three 2.5", thirteen 3" and 1 4"), a few rockets and a 12 shot 1" cake.I just had to share this.Heres what I have made so far. My mortarshttp://img117.imageshack.us/img117/6845/1000200lq7.jpg Some comets, (Fredberts Flashcores (hoping for a strobe like effect), D1, and TT matrix comet with flashcores.)http://img384.imageshack.us/img384/8796/1000239ft4.jpg Shells (minus the 3"ers and 2.5"ers)http://img370.imageshack.us/img370/6479/1000185nx0.jpg My 4" double petal babyhttp://img114.imageshack.us/img114/7690/1000186nc0.jpg
Brakkie
Great work fredbert! Although your comets seem to be looking a bit sloppy or is it just the picture? @Mumbles/Sidewinder: I've tried pm'ing a few times but I never got an answer. I'd like to change my nickname to the nickname I generally use on dutch messageboards. Would it be possible to change my nickname? Or would I have to make a new account? I know when I was running my own forum it was a 5 minute job to change a nickname...?
Yankie
Great work fredbert! Although your comets seem to be looking a bit sloppy or is it just the picture? What do you mean by sloppy? The picture is a tad blurry. If you mean the comets on the right those white splotches are the matrix comets. EDIT: Oh you mean on the shells? Yeah I didnt have any comets at the time so I glued some stars on the shells. Also on the 3" shells those things are split comets. Brakkie
I know the right ones are the matrix comets but it's exactly what I mean. They seem to be a bit crumbled on the top? Crooked, uneven, however you wanna call it? Is it just the picture? I don't know how you press your comets but I find that adding less water and more pressure makes them more solid and not that crumbly.
Chris
It looks like the comets have heavy priming on top. Is that what you mean or am I mistaken?
superman1451
Has anyone used an online paintball forum that they would recommend? I'm looking to attach my hpa tank to a scuba tank and I want to know the best way to that.

Crooked, uneven, however you wanna call it? Is it just the picture? I don't know how you press your comets but I find that adding less water and more pressure makes them more solid and not that crumbly. The comets are far from crumbly, just the top edge of the comets is always dodgy because my comet pump is extremely ghetto, as you can see in the photo. This is due to the slight taper on the end of the rammer. Also it is very heavily primed with BP slurry and then granulated BP. Heres how wet the comp is (fairly wet because I just use hand pressure to pump them):http://img242.imageshack.us/img242/8826/1000214la6.jpg Heres my pump:http://img381.imageshack.us/img381/125/dadscameraspictures025ga5.jpg And the comet before priming:http://img242.imageshack.us/img242/3301/1000223th1.jpg
Brakkie
Ah ok, guess it was just that last picture that you posted. I press mine "Ghetto Style" too and they turn out like the one on your last pic. Looking good though!
Yankie
I stumbled across an old video I had lurking around in my unorganised folders, its a 2.5" starmine with modified D1 glitter stars. I cant remember what exactly I did but, the D1 wouldnt glitter so I added a few more scoops of Al powder and Sodium Bicarbonate, and possibly some charcoal. I would estimate 2-3 times the Al and Bicarb. It has quite a pleasing effect if I say so myself.Unfourtunately I eyeballed it so I have no formula, but come next winter I will do some experimenting (if I remember) let me know if you try this. Here's the vid.

Tell me what name you want. I'm not 100% sure if I can change your main name, and we don't use alias (alternate) names.
Mumbles
I looked, and thought I told him I couldn't figure it out. You might be able to find something, as you know the software better than I do, but it just wasn't there when I saw it.
Brakkie
Nope, as I said, I've messaged you and Sidewinder a few times (can't remember exactly and they're not saved in Sent Messages anymore) and only got an answer from you, (Mumbles) once if I remember correctly to contact Sidewinder instead. Anyway, we'll see what Sidewinder comes up with and else well, no man overboard.
TheSidewinder
OK, I've made the requested name changes for the two people that requested it. Artistic is now Brakkie, and fredbert is now Yankie. Existing quoted posts don't seem to reflect the name changes, but it appears that regular posts/replies now show them. Also note that we don't normally change names, so please don't flood the Staff with requests for same. If you have a *COMPELLING* reason for wanting a name change, then please PM me or Mumbles. And remember that APC Staff is the sole judge of what constitutes "compelling". Thank you!

Swede
I can't read or understand my hydrometer! Checking some acids with a hydrometer, and the acid came in at 1.35 SG. There is a second scale, parallel to the first, which read 1320. WTF? What s the second scale? On the instrument itself, at SG = 1.00, the mystery scale reads 1000. At 1.24, its 1200; 1.54, 1600. At 1.70 SG, the second scale is 1950. I surrender... what is the second scale?
