Zeppelin
Well its morning now, and im feeling a bit better. Off to school in a few minutes . I will get some info on my resperator when I get home. I also feel like burning it down and scattering its ashes in some BP. Anyways, this was hilarious Frozen Frozentech: On the lighter side... it's OK for you to smoke heavily now, because it's not going to hurt you any worse than this is ( just kidding !) hahaha thanks PS. Sorry about the state of the earlier posts, I was madly dashing through pages looking for the effects of hexamine and whatever the other ingredient in that god damn firestarter was. (never did find out) Thanks everyone,Zeppelin
Zeppelin
My respirator is made out of silicon and the filters look like they are paper+activated carbon. It says that they are NIOSH approved. I guess the NIOSH standard doesnt protect against Formaldehyde or ammonia.
PyroPicasso
Is Dystrophy still selling chems on SolarFlare Chemicals? I was just wondering since he has not signed up to the new forum. When was the last time someone ordered from him?
Kilo_G
There are different levels of NIOSH certification for resperators. What model # and brand filters do you have?

Kilo_G
You can put different level filters in that AO Safety mask. That particular kit comes with the P-100 filters. I'm not sure though if the masks themselves have a P-100 rating. I have the same mask. I use it frequently on the job.
ULTRABUF
My school got a snow day today. Its kind of a waste of a snow day because it was going to be a half day anyway because we're taking exams right now. Oh well, not complaining.
Von Bass`
beat you! we once got a week off after a large gas leak in my school, they had to clear the entire place out and call in gas people
_DB_
Does anybody know if Dystrophy is still selling chemicals? I emailed him an order about a week ago and he hasn't replied yet.
BigBang
I think ultrabuff beat you to te question DB. The last time he posted, he said he was swamped and that orders might not get done. I think he might be waiting till he hits a slow spot at school, but I'm not too sure. I just found out I'll be getting a national award for JROTC. I'm quite happy since I'm only a freshman and they usually don' get anything. Spose I'm just that good

asilentbob
Not too much goin on right now... I just made a small water jet vacuume aspirator! Just tested it too by crushing a 3L soda bottle, pretty neat! Essentially the top water inlet aspirator on frogfot's page, except smaller. The little internal tube was hard as hell to make a small nozzle on, but after a combination of delicate hammering and spinning it as if it was a drill bit while applying heat and a smooth blunt object to the sides to slowly deform it, i finished it. *marks off list... My interest in 2 more explosives have been piqued (DNEU & EDNA), the first being commonly used as a precursur to the other. Apparently Axt did a little research in this area as i found an article on ethyleneurea from ethylene glycol and urea on sciencemadness in his folder (precursur to DNEU)... i think... So, thank you Axt! Once again, hampered by urea... (I may start a thread on this in HE in a while if it hasn't been heavily discussed in the past with a proposed synthesis and such in a while... few days... week...) I have a few things i want to try to pick up this weekend, but probably wont, including but not limited to urea, a vacuume gauge, mannitol, KMnO4, EtOH, MeOH, CaO, and other stuff i forgot... Oh, and i found a nozzle thing with a set screw that would be perfect for my propane burner, and it perfectly fits this thin copper pipe i have! Only problem is how to attach this very thin pipe to the rest... I think i will be able to figure something out. evilgecko
Just a question...Could you use cue balls in a ball mill? I'm talking about the balls used on a ball table. Or are they too fragile?
Frozentech
Just a question...Could you use cue balls in a ball mill? I'm talking about the balls used on a ball table. Or are they too fragile? To be efficient in a ball mill, it would have to be one huge milling jar ! You would not get much surface area contact while the media and charge were cascading, it's all those points of impact between milling media with composition sandwiched between that performs the actual milling action. Pool balls are used in corning machines thoough, the Passfire web site has an excellent tutorial and plans for building one. The balls are in a large 24" ? drum, and do a fine job of smashing pressed pucks of black powder, and a screen on the side of the drum spills out the granules of BP onto a chute. _Po_
It's Space Dementia by Muse. I was just sitting here listening to music and that song came on so I decided to make a movie to go with it. It isn't about anything. Can you attach movie files to posts? Geoshitties is screwing me over with their "free" 2mb per hour download limit. Free my ass, I'm paying for it with my piss-offedness. I'll see if I can attach it...Okay, apparently not. I need to find a proper host.
Dr.Bodgy
Fuck what a poofter wireless internet can be, my business partner and I have been doing a wireless fit out at a holiday resort, 2.4ghz just doesn't like going trough bricks and concrete...Fucking poofter, Who ever installed the phone system origionaly should be shot then arse fucked and shot again. evilgecko
Yeah thats the thing, the only suitable container I've found is a 25L one. I have 100mm PVC pipe but that is just a bit on the small side. I want to be able to mill at least a kg at a time, and I think 150mm would be perfect. Put the next biggest thing I found was the 300mm diameter 25L one. So cue balls can work then? I'm just worried they might crack. I must have a look on passfire.
