FrankRizzo Posted January 26, 2009 Posted January 26, 2009 I only get an Apache page when trying to enter the site via HTTP (Http://www.sciencemadness.org), HTTPS gives a nonspecific error. Can anyone confirm this?
WarezWally Posted January 26, 2009 Posted January 26, 2009 Confirmed from Australia Interesting thing to see to say the least, indicates that either there is no index file or there are problems within apache. Hard to say whats wrong, my guess would be some sort of failure with a hard drive.
Richtee Posted January 26, 2009 Posted January 26, 2009 I only get an Apache page when trying to enter the site via HTTP (Http://www.sciencemadness.org), HTTPS gives a nonspecific error. Can anyone confirm this? "Great Success ! Apache is working on your cPanel® and WHM™ ServerIf you can see this page, then the people who manage this server have installed cPanel and WebHost Manager (WHM) which use the Apache Web server software and the Apache Interface to OpenSSL (mod_ssl) successfully. They now have to add content to this directory and replace this placeholder page, or else point the server at their real content." is what I get
TheSidewinder Posted January 26, 2009 Posted January 26, 2009 Confirmed and, yes, that's the default page you get after a fresh WHM/cPanel install. But it could also be caused by several other things. Corrupt hosts file, HDD failure and they're in the middle of a restore, a hacker, blah, blah, blah.
FrankRizzo Posted January 26, 2009 Author Posted January 26, 2009 It's back!! Seems someone was DDOS'ing some DNS servers or something to that effect.
