Richtee Posted September 15, 2008 Posted September 15, 2008 (edited) One of the founding members of Pink Floyd passed today. I know alot of people here are younger, but the name of Pink Floyd trandsends generations... or damn close! Richard Wright was a large influence on the early Floyd and instrumental on many hits for the band. Nick Mason, Sid Barret, David Gilmour and Roger Waters were all principals in the early, albiet less commercially successful incarntion of the band. "So-oo so ya think ya can tell...Heaven from Hell...Blue skys from pain... can ya tell a green field- from a cold steel rail...a smile from a veil...do ya think ya can tell" RIP Richard Wright... I miss you already. Wish you were here. Edited September 16, 2008 by Richtee
mormanman Posted September 16, 2008 Posted September 16, 2008 Awesome song and sad to hear. Pink Floyd was and still is an awesome band.
TheSidewinder Posted September 16, 2008 Posted September 16, 2008 He didn't die, he simply went to The Dark Side Of The Moon........ RIP, David. You and your talent will be sorely missed.
Swany Posted September 17, 2008 Posted September 17, 2008 Being in a band isn't conclusive to longevity. I grew up on Pink Floyd, I can remember hearing it since I was 4.
