d4j0n Posted April 11, 2006 Posted April 11, 2006 I get the nagging feeling that this comes from or should belong in rotteneggs or similar.
TheSidewinder Posted April 11, 2006 Posted April 11, 2006 I have a sudden burst of ESP. I predict this getting locked, or at least moved to HE... M
teknix Posted April 11, 2006 Posted April 11, 2006 You didn't really tell us anything here that I couldn't have looked up on wikipedia or something. Just a list of deffinitions. Now if you had a simple way of making the fuse assembly that would be cool...I think that is the trickiest part. Takes some machining to make the spoon, striker, springs, ect... might be a simple way but I never really tried. Maybe using fake/practice grenades and adding in the primer and fuse compo? Then again if I went to all that work I deffinitly wouldn't make it HE. I would make a smoke grenade so I can use the fuse assemble again....just refill it.
Mumbles Posted April 11, 2006 Posted April 11, 2006 This is getting locked. It has no place on the forum. HE discussion is not allowed outside of the HE section. Practical applications like this are not allowed inside the HE section. If you want to edit out all mention of use as an explosive device and focus on the ignition and whatnot I will allow it. Smoke grenades only. If the conversation turns to explosive devices, the whole thread is getting deleted, and people are getting banned. Private message me if you want to edit your post, but until then it is locked.
FUZE Posted May 25, 2006 Author Posted May 25, 2006 Finally got time to edit this thread. I'm sorry if people thought this was a K3WL recipe book or something, I had no ill intention's. I took out alot. This thread was posted to show the work I started when I first came to the APC forum's mainly all grenades in general. Please use all of this information wisely. Thank You
joe609 Posted May 25, 2006 Posted May 25, 2006 What has grenades got to do with pyrotechnics? and also no offense but the only thing you have told me is a somke and delay comp and a few component parts of a grenade, not how to make a functioning mechanism or anything like that so i personally do not see the point in this thread but hey i am not an admin so who cares.
FUZE Posted May 26, 2006 Author Posted May 26, 2006 Well I will be polite and give you nice answer, 1.Grenades function on chemical reactions and/or combustion. 2. It's smoke not somke. 3. If you read the orginal post! I said "PS:Ill add more later I'm tired i just got off work figured id help new ppl out some more" in other words when I get more free time when im not working I'll add more. I "personally" think if you dont like this thread dont flame! I'm willing to share my knowledge I spent about 2 years to gather, construct, and perfect but not if I get flammed left and right.
joe609 Posted May 26, 2006 Posted May 26, 2006 I wasn't flamming i was just wondering why people would want to see the construction of a grenade on a pyrotechnic site, you know pyrotechnics as in fountains, shells, rockets etc. not grenades
FrKoNaLeaSh1010 Posted May 26, 2006 Posted May 26, 2006 A grenade doesn't necessarily have to explode. I know I wouldn't mind learning about a smoke grenade that is constructed like a traditional grenade with the pin and handle part and all that.
aquaman Posted May 26, 2006 Posted May 26, 2006 I agree with FrKoNaLeaSh. Just because he says it is a "grenade" doesn't meen it has to act like one. I too would like to see how it is constructed. FUZE -if/when you add to this topic, add pictures. They should help alot.
joe609 Posted May 26, 2006 Posted May 26, 2006 yer fair enough point taken its just the thread was labeled 'grenade comps' and there was no actuall construction described in the thread so i assumed that was it. sorry if i pissed you of Fuze, look forward to your grenade designs etc.
