Yankie Posted June 12, 2008 Posted June 12, 2008 I made this ages ago back in my newb days using the stuff from sparklers and aluminium, still looks cool. sorry i dont have a prefire pic http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jal7HehfMB4
pudidotdk Posted June 12, 2008 Posted June 12, 2008 Nope, doesn't count. The rules includes:## No purchased items, all items must be homemade. Fuse, cardboard products, shell casings, and black powder are exempt from this rule.
TheSidewinder Posted June 12, 2008 Posted June 12, 2008 Correct. Unless you made the sparklers yourself from raw chems, it doesn't count. But you made a decent start back then. The results were acceptable, since it didn't simply blow up.
Yankie Posted June 13, 2008 Author Posted June 13, 2008 yeah i didn't think it would. oh well i made a nice starmine which i will submit. unfourtunately my rocket couldnt lift the shell i had, it would have been nice
BPinthemorning Posted June 13, 2008 Posted June 13, 2008 (edited) I loved the puffs of sparks! I wish I knew how to make that from scratch. By the way, you double posted. MOD EDIT: Double post fixed. Edited June 13, 2008 by TheSidewinder
Yankie Posted June 16, 2008 Author Posted June 16, 2008 to be honest those puffs were just a fluke, what happened was the bolt it was spinning on tightened so it stopped, then i think it went in puffs beacause there was slag in the nozzle so it built up pressure then blew it out then repeat lol, just my theory
TheSidewinder Posted June 16, 2008 Posted June 16, 2008 Probably a good theory, actually. And if it had slagged up a bit more, the results would have been even more interesting.
