Where can I get Barium Nitrate no one seems to ship or carry this I need to make some green stars is there a substitute available that I can use . I know this doesn't warrant a new thread but the search turned up nothing ****************************************************MOD EDIT: (See below for corrections) I'd suggest joining a Pyro Club that's local to you, and cultivate a working relationship with its members who can provide same. Expect to do some homework first, and prove you're serious and interested in learning from them. EDIT AGAIN: Whoops, Should have done a bit more checking before making a blanket statement. Skylighter won't ship Barium Nitrate, but Firefox will, with an extra Hazmat charge and packaging. Certain Barium compounds can be shipped without any restrictions, but I don't think any of those have pyrotechnic applications. PM sent to poster to alert them to change.
