Richtee Posted September 4, 2008 Posted September 4, 2008 You need to learn how to read. I never said that hullucinogensI hear they DO cause improper spelling, run-on sentences, "paragraph-itis", and poor grammar tho. Oh , and lack of awareness of software to remedy these afflictions.

If they had a problem with my grammar or spelling they would say so. If your not going to contribute to the discussion keep your thoughts to yourself. I dont care to read about non admin members telling me about poor grammar or spelling. If it wasn't directed towards me then just disregard this post. Edited September 4, 2008 by FrKoNaLeaSh1010

FrKoNaLeaSh1010 Posted September 4, 2008 Posted September 4, 2008 I'm not disregarding this post. Admin will do what they need to. I suggest you do the same. Oh the thoughts part I mean. But then again..this is a "random" thread. Kind of like the thought process I just observed. Do not come to a battle of wits un-armed. If your not disregarding my post then that means it was directed towards me which i still dont understand because i did not have a quality of grammar and spelling that was below anyone else on this forum. This is not a random thread it is a thread about our opinions on drug use in which someone had asked a question about one of my posts and i replied. It had nothing to do with you yet your posting about it anyway with a useless post. Suggesting i do what i need to makes no sense in what we are discussing. and what does "Oh the thoughts part I mean" actually mean. And the admins will do what they need and i do my best to oblige by what they say. I've been a member at apc longer than thesidewinder and almost as long as mumbles so to be honest i really couldnt care less if i make one or two grammatical errors as I have been here long enough to not have to listen to people questioning my posts who are not even administrators. Nothing I said was random as it all ties into the post i was replying to...so if you would like to point out what was random that i said i would be more than happy to explain to you how it relates to the post i was replying to because obviously you think what i said was random and not warranted. Also you say that i have a random thought process yet you come to a thread and post something that has nothing to do with the discussion.......now that is random not what i said.
Richtee Posted September 4, 2008 Posted September 4, 2008 now that is random not what i said.Congrats. As to the other questions maybe YOU need to learn how to read, as you suggested to a pervious poster. Ciao.
FrKoNaLeaSh1010 Posted September 4, 2008 Posted September 4, 2008 The only question i asked was for you to clarify about "oh the thoughts part I mean." If you think saying "Oh the thoughts part" when you never said anything about thoughts makes sense....then you sir are out of your fucking mind. I know how to read....at least i know how to read logical sentences that make sense. We are now cluttering up this thread with useless posts so just drop it and dont discuss it anymore....just wait for the admins to come and delete this like they are probably going to do anyway.
Mumbles Posted September 4, 2008 Posted September 4, 2008 Yes, everyone needs to settle down. You each know that I like you both. Yes, Frk, we do encourage some sort of effort to be put forth toward grammar and spelling. I did encounter some difficulty in reading your second entry, though it was not completely intelligible. The rest of your posts here however much better. I can only assume you were having a bad day when you wrote that. It doesn't matter how long you've been here. Seniority doesn't mean that you can get away with stuff others cannot. You may also want to try taking a deep breath and organizing your thoughts. You will come across as more intelligent, and present your points much more clearly. Rich, be nice. Quality of english skill is not always directly correlated with intelligence or maturity of poster. Everyone has a right to be here and express their opinions. You may not agree with them, or even like them as a person, but it's still no excuse to disrespect them.
FrKoNaLeaSh1010 Posted September 4, 2008 Posted September 4, 2008 I know about the grammar rules and everything but i guess thats what happens when you are posting at one in the morning after getting 2 hours of sleep the night before. I just didnt see anything that terrible with my post that warranted questioning from someone who has been a member here for 5 or 6 months compared to me when i can remember the first announcement by EP that this new forum was created so many long years ago. You are right though seniority doesnt make any exceptions with the rules. I probably was a little hasty in posting my second post but i was a little out of it last night. I will take more care in my posts in the future.
Richtee Posted September 5, 2008 Posted September 5, 2008 I will take more care in my posts in the future. As will I. Peace... pyro-brother. Be safe!
elstevo Posted October 29, 2008 Posted October 29, 2008 Nothing wrong with drugs, they make for interesting times. Infact they kick ass.
TheSidewinder Posted October 29, 2008 Posted October 29, 2008 As long as you don't mix them with Pyrotechnics. Drugs and/or Alcohol simply do NOT play well together with Pyrotechnics. Or brisant Chemistry, for that matter.
Gunzway Posted October 30, 2008 Posted October 30, 2008 (edited) As said, as long as they are used in a suitable environment. Not when your dealing with something which has enough potential risks on it's own without the use of a drug to just make you think a little less clearly. Personally, I think almost all the drugs which are illegal should stay that way. Maybe some stuff like Mushrooms and Cactus could be legal. Yes, most of the people here are intelligent and have a lot of respect towards safety and handling things with care (Pyrotechnics, Chemistry and all our other hobbies need this). But this cannot be said that everyone else will use drugs in a responsible way. Australia at least is having enough trouble with alcohol, the thought of having other drugs legal would just make the death rate increase Edited October 30, 2008 by Gunzway
WarezWally Posted October 30, 2008 Posted October 30, 2008 I don't have any problems with people using smoking some grass and taking a MDMA tablet every now and then. Assuming both are pure there is minimal is risk. Much safer than alcohol.

Swede Posted October 30, 2008 Posted October 30, 2008 I think it's a blessing that most drugs are relatively difficult to synthesize... Even meth takes a smidge of skill to do correctly, and is not something some kid can whip up quickly. Can you imagine if something like cocaine was as easy to make as BP?

Heh, most kewl's don't even know how to make decent BP so no worries there
optimus Posted November 4, 2008 Posted November 4, 2008 An old friend of mine has just been sectioned under the mental health act (stimulant-enduced psychosis) Apparently he was possessed by the demon 'Zuzu' - this happened after roughly 4 months binging on a wide assortment of exotic drugs (ketamine, barbiturates, random 'research' chemicals, etc). Zuzu was telling him to kill himself, and his friends - thankfully he only managed to hospitalise himself and will be fine, at least physically. Take it too far and this can happen! Be careful kids! All in moderation!
FrKoNaLeaSh1010 Posted November 5, 2008 Posted November 5, 2008 You say stimulant enduced psychosis which is normally associated with amphetamines or cocaine/crack. Last I checked ketamine was a dissociative and barbituates were sedatives and most of the research chemicals were hullucinogens.....none of those are stimulants as far as I know. Either way you said it well enough when you said "all in moderation"
Pyro55 Posted November 5, 2008 Posted November 5, 2008 Tell your mate to use meth instead. Works much better, but just make sure he purifies it first. Why I hate meth. Four years ago I was a care free, retired old geezer. About the only worries I had was whether to hunt, fish, shoot my guns, make fireworks or take my wife for a Harley ride. This suddenly changed one day when I received a call from Child Protection Authority.A mother and father had been busted for drugs and 3 little girls had nowhere to go. The case worker asks if I would take temporary emergency custody of the 3 girls. When I arrived at the scene, cops were everywhere. The little girls were dirty scared and didn’t know what was going on. The house was cold, trashed, needles laying on the floor…and no heat I said yes, I will take them. The wife and I took them home, gave them baths, fed them and bought them new clothes. The baby was only 2 weeks old. The others were 6 and 8 years old.It didn’t take me long to realize that things were going to be a lot different here. I hadn’t changed a diaper for a long time but like ridding a bicycle, you never forget. We enrolled the older girls in school and started making their life as good as we possibly could. The 8 year old had cerebral palsy and couldn’t walk very well. Her teacher said she was having problems in learning and needed to be in special ed. (WRONG)We started helping her with her homework and in 6 months she was head of her class. We started her on physical therapy and she can now walk and run faster than me These kids were very appreciative of having nice clothes, good food and a warm house that didn’t leak….things that most kids should and do take for grantedI remember them both saying that Christmas 2004 was their best ever. Well, now they say EVERY Christmas is the best Christmas ever. It makes me feel good seeing these kids enjoying life the way kids should. The girls are now 4, 10 and 12 yrs old.I have aged about 10 years but it’s worth it Maybe in about 15 or so years, I can go back to hunting, fishing, serious fireworks making and riding what will then be my “Vintage Harley” LOL…if I’m still alive that is. Did I mention….I hate meth. A recent pic of the girls.http://i376.photobucket.com/albums/oo203/iluvpyrostuff/Girls2008.jpg
Richtee Posted November 5, 2008 Posted November 5, 2008 Why I hate meth. God Bless you, Sir. I really needed this story today. Thank you for a bit of affirmation of the goodness in the human race.
TheSidewinder Posted November 5, 2008 Posted November 5, 2008 Let me echo Richtee's sentiments. I think your story more clearly defines why hard drugs are bad news all around, than any other entry in this thread. Bless you!
Swede Posted November 7, 2008 Posted November 7, 2008 Ditto. I thought I had done "tough things" in the military. Then, we had kids, and I learned what sacrifice is. Let me say, being a GOOD parent is the HARDEST thing you can do. Anyone can be a parent. You have sex, and 9 months later, you're a parent. But to raise that child WELL... sooo difficult. Another reason to hate meth - it has turned the innocent and joyful home chemistry lab into evil Dr. Feelgood's meth factory. Glassware, chemicals, anything chemistry related, makes people think "Meth."
Skycastlefish Posted August 16, 2010 Posted August 16, 2010 (edited) I HATE pot heads! Every pothead/hippie needs to be unceremoniously drug into the street and shot in the face. Boy, it's a bloody good thing I am not in charge because I would make quite a few changes in this country(USA), like bringing back capital punishment! That's pretty harsh. Smoking Marijuana puts the user and those close to them in far less danger than even small scale pyrotechnics. If you take the above sentence and insert "pyromaniacs" in place of "potheads" it sounds awfully similar to the bigots who try to stomp on our hobby. Marijuana is one of the smallest threats human beings face in day to day life. If you really want to worry about something, worry about falling down the steps or getting in a car accident. Better yet, worry about blowing your fingers off. Edited August 16, 2010 by Skycastlefish
