If you over indulge, or abuse them, yes there is the possibility for damage. Can you provide any evidence of drugs rotting the brain without over indulgence? I know you are thinking about extacy, and the holes are caused by dehydration, high body temperature during raves, not the drug itself. As for good, they are known to help to reduce the effects of cancer, AIDS, glaucoma, increase brain brain activity, increase creativeness. Note: These are after the drug's effects have worn off.

As for what defiant said it was well put, people should have the right to do what they want to. I do whatever I want to, but morally. My conclusions are : There will always be crime and problems with or without drugs, people will always get injured with or without them and if someone wants to do something in the comfort of thier own home whether it be watch TV, smoke a J, or make fireworks, then so be it. Don't say no to drugs just to have a stance. You don't need to try them to say they are bad. We know cancer is bad, but can we only say it after we have had it?
EP. Posted April 3, 2006 Posted April 3, 2006 I will add a couple things here. First of all, those such as RUUUN spouting uninformed garbage need to take a more objective look at things. Practically anything is bad in excess, drugs included. I know people that smoke weed all the time that are losers, but I know a lot of other people that also smoke regularly and have no problems. Some people spend all day smoking cigarettes or playing video games or eating ice cream, you can get physically or psychological addicted to many things, or you can have no problems with them. The medical risks of many drugs has not been fully established, but you can't argue that cigarettes and alcohol haven't killed more people than all the illegal drugs combined. In fact, there is no logical way to argue for keeping those legal while banning something like marijuana. At least RUUUN conceded this point. Weed (and possibly E, maybe others) have legitimate medical uses, but the government and others refuses to accept this because they are blinded by ideology. We're all going to die sooner or later anyway, occasional use isn't a problem. Besides, if somebody wants to risk their own health, it isn't your problem. In fact, much of the crime related to drugs is a result of them being illegal. When I was in high school, it was easier to get an ounce of week than a case of beer. So much for the War on Drugs. Prohibition failed for the same reason, you can't legislate morality and the market will supply it. Are there health costs (and others) to the rest of the country from drug use. Sure, but less than alcohol, smoking and FAT. Heart disease is one of the top causes of death in the US, it's a much bigger problem than drugs. Making more drugs legal, regulating them and TAXING them would lift huge financial burdens from law enforcement, prisons etc while also providing income, some of which could be used for treatment. The fact is, tons of people use drugs to some extent, and the majority don't have a problem. Other countries that have more liberal drug laws than the US haven't fallen into disaster yet. Some people use drugs to escape life, and that isn't good for them. However, they shouldn't be penalized for it, they should be helped. Most people use drugs occasionally and to ENHANCE, not escape. And RUUUN, I'm not some flag waving idiot (hell, I just joined the ACLU), but I've love to see you explain your thoughts on the US military to a few soldiers. Ok, so there is some good taking drugs, I was misinformed thank you for informing me correctly. I have found out that I don't mind the drugs or the alcohol or the people who take them, I mind the people who abuse them. What kind of gunpowder is it? You might be able to get high off certain smokless powders, but you would probably get a killer headache during/after getting high, alot of the triple based smokeless gunpowders today contain Nitroglycerin. There isn't alot but it you snort enough (or try smoke it) you would probably get a nitro headache. If he mixes it with cocaine then its the cocaine that gets him high, and he probably has a killer headache if it is triple based smokeless powder.

But you wouldn't use gun powder in bullets it just wouldn't fire it a great distance, well it was an african country so i expect they have to use it cause they can't afford smokeless powder.

All of you have seen the "touch a drop of NG with a cottonball and blow your arms off" scenes in T.V shows and movies.. Coke doesn't even really fuck you up that much at all, weed is alot more intense feeling than coke.. With coke you just feel really good (for a short time untill the comedown), sort of high and kind of numb around your face. Eh.. It's really bad for your heart and expensive so I don't recommend it.. Just smoke some weed or do shrooms.

Once upon a time, I smoked a great deal of weed myself, etc... still drink, prolly would smoke still too but I went from holding a TS clearance in the military to a job that the US DOT requires piss testing. I do hate meth, because it turns people into thieves, crack does the same, and from what I have seen of a few folks I knew who did opiates, they also drop all morals in order to do anything whatsoever to get thier drug. I also absolutely hate PCP, which thankfully has dropped off the mainstream of drugs. I mean I really really hate that one. I tossed a guy off a railroad trestle into a river once who sold my younger brother some weed that had angel dust in it that fucked him up forever. That a'hole was lucky, a year later and I'd probably have done worse and just now be getting out of prison. I might even have gone 5 back years later and done him if I could've found him, after my brother killed himself. The worst I have seen weed do is contribute to general failure in life by making people too laid back and unmotivated to do anything that takes long term commitment. Not everyone, just certain folks who would probably have been bums no matter what ? Other people seem to be OK with smoking it, and my wifes best friend really benefited from it during her 7 year fight with ovarian cancer. She would have gone a couple years earlier without it, I think. Only way she could eat during all the chemo treatments. Her doctors couldn't prescribe it in the state she lived in, but they told her do whatever makes her feel better. The oxycontin she was on doped her out too badly to do anything, she could at least function with the weed, tho she smoked more than any human being I ever saw !

As with all drugs moderation is the key. Someone will only get addicted if they have to much. A shot of meth or H will not get you addicted. Pure H is the strongest pain killer known to man. The greater lipid solubility makes it up to 50x more efficient then morphine. I don’t take drugs to escape life, but to explore my body and my mind. To talk to god. Experience pure euphoria. I will only ever take drugs straight from plants, as refined drugs usually have impurities.

I don't talk to God and wait for him to talk back, if God wants to talk to me I am listening but I am not really expecting it. If you people take Drugs for the rush, why don't you do something that doesn't mess with your sense of "motivation"( That's your brain), if you lose your sense of motivation its called lazy.

It seems a lot of the good amature chemists I know enjoy hallucinogens. They are, however, not for everybody. It does make sense for people with investigative minds to want to be able to further investigate their own inner psyches. I've seen far too many people delve into halucinogens before they were ready for it. They did not seem to enjoy it, and some just are different now.

Everyone, wether you like it or not are going to be entitled to their own opinion. I'm not against drugs, and I'm not for them. There will always be people who do them, and of course people who don't. I feel that drug's can be used responsibly in some situations with the right drugs. Some drug's I personally would never do because of the damaging effects, such as cocaine or heroin. When it comes to drugs like marijuana, it's not much different than drinking alcohol. Maybe a little safer since you can't get poisoning from it like alcohol. (As long as your using pure marijuana). So there's always the possibillity of having something which is laced, of course that can easily be avoided as long as you are using bud's, not pre-ground stuff. And of course theres the fact that you have to smoke something like 70% of your body's weight in marijuana to overdose. so unless your incredibly rich and have the abillity to inhale the smoke from about 85 pounds of marijuana, you should be fine. Well that's my opinion, it's also not directed at anyone by the way. Just there for your enjoyment. So enjoy!

Why I ask! We humans have a need for me. We want to be at or peak, or above it. We have a natural urge to treck on as far as we can take ourselves. Sadly, we can't do it alone, so we use something to get us there. The question is, what? So many resort to a direct route to stimulate the brain, our body's pinnacle. Others choose the long route, which still affects you in a similar way. The direct route is ofcourse the drugs route. You take your drug of choice, you are affected by it. With ethyl you calm down, with shooms you, well, act like my friend, freaky. Your brain just opens up and you feel how you want to feel, "good." On the other hand, you can take the round about way, getting an event to stimulate your brain to release its own seditives. In my case, it is starting the countdown on one of my dets, or chucking a 20 grammer as far as I can before there is an earth shattering kaboom. I have the ultimate high come over me as the pressure wave hits me. No outside drugs needed. Try it some time, go have fun with a gabe de morte when life is giving you shit. Don't grab a bag of weed, don't grab your tea. Grab your torch and head out the door, head for where you can be set free.

I'm christian but I dont hate drugs I dont use them but I believe that its a person's choice my cousin ran for the marijuana party in BC in 2000 or 2001. and I dont think it says anything about drugs in the bible
