Some group of kids are always smoking some weed out there, usually behind the far portables. Its by a baseball field so I find tons of baseballs and practice balls out there. I usually chuck it over the building and hit then. Very funny to see them scattering

So when you bring it up, it hurts YOU and the loved ones around you. These are some of the SHORT term effects of marijuana, If you need any more effects I can run a search for about 3 mins and come up with LOTS more. I would never smoke weed, I am so against drugs I don't use pain killers when I break bones or when I get a cavity cleaned and fixed, because it slows down my reaction time and my ability to USE MY HEAD. That is why I believe people who abuse drugs need to be shot with a large caliber round

The thing is that i really dont care. No pain killers? wow. There is a reason that people do drugs, it is usually because their life sucks (my case) or it is because they want to have fun. While you are one magic mushrooms everything get so much more beautiful, and more interesting. Things that you would never have noticed stand out. I would definatly say that it has improved my quality of life. I am willing to cut off a few years near the end of my life for amazing memories that i have now. Besides, being old sucks. None of this was directed towards you, run, it is simply my veiw on things. I dont have a problem with people like you, you have simply made different choices. The only person it directly hurts is themselves and that is their right. Now if they are caught high and driving.....bust them badly but if their in their own house getting high who cares?? I feel the same about alcohol, its everyones right to drink as much as they want as long as they don't endanger others (driving and such). I say all this as a person who would take an oath that I have never used a drug in my life!! I've never touched them out of my personal choice but hold nothing against those who do! I've tried alcohol but I dhave never been drunk or even buzzed also. So Zeppelins views arn't just a stoners view, I'm 100% clean and I agree with him.

Simply because you are so reliant on drawing into yourself and running away from your life, you are becoming weaker mentally. Instead of just facing, overcoming and ultimately triumphing over your life, you are compounding the damage and making it harder to crawl out of your pit. I don't have anything against drugs, I have a thing against people who ABUSE drugs, and ABUSE alcohol, there is a difference between using in moderation and getting COMPLETELY STONED. people do it because they are too dad-blamed lazy to face their lives and make them better. I think if people are too lazy to make their lives better they don't deserve the privelage of life.

I know the conciquences of doing mushrooms, the reasone that I do them is because i feel the positive effects outweigh the more damaging effects. As for bettering my life, I belive they have actaully helped. Just having a break from the continual problems is a blessing to me. And on the subject of bud making you dumber, in the years that i have smoked my grades have dropped. The thing is though, it just seems like nothing matters any more. Things that used to be beautiful seem bland and boring. When I look at a sunset, I dont see the beautiful scene many people do, I see light reflecting off the atmosphere to make a new color. I cant explain it. But while on mushrooms everything has its beauty back, everything is beautiful and simply amazing. By the way, im not trying to get you all wanting to do mushrooms, these are simply my veiws on life. You can OD on anything, you can OD on oxygen, which is a rather cruel Irony since in fact oxygen is what keeps us alive. If you look at brain wave readouts after taking weed/drugs, the long term effect are massive, the brain actually starts to deteriorate and rot inside your head.

Try doing some *real* research (and not on the general Internet, from which those gems seem to have been drawn) and THEN lecture us about its perceived evils. "Kills brain cells". The research is ongoing, no hard proof exists yet. It may well do so. Alcohol HAS been proven to do so. In my opinion, this makes alcohol a more dangerous drug than marijuana. Oh, by the way, studies done by scientists on the payroll of an organization dedicated to "The War On Drugs" produce "data" that are laughable at best. The AMA (American Medical Association) has degenerated into a politically-driven arm of the Government. (You know, the one who tells us ALL SORTS of things and they must ALL be true, because after all the GOVERNMENT says so.) Never mind the legitimate research that contradicts that position, since they sweep it under the rug or accuse the researcher of "having a pro-drug agenda". It would be laughable, if it weren't so disturbing. "Completely messes your brain up". Hmmm.... there are at least 2 errors, one grammatical and one syntactical, in that group of 4 words (it can't be called a sentence, since it's incomplete). I'd say my brain is less affected than yours, and I freely admit I've used drugs in the past. Schizophrenia *from* weed? NOTE: Pyrohawk, if you've "tried alcohol", you've taken drugs. Alcohol is a drug just like marijuana, methamphetamine, "magic mushrooms", etc, etc, ad infinitum. I know some people who were just fine and dandy, they smoked weed and it messed them up badly, they became paranoid, extremely short tempered, and couldn't remember anything. Weed does infact kill brain cells, so does oxygen, but weed speeds up the process, and I dont believe everything the government says because the american government is full of no load, pencil dicked, weaklings, G. W. Bush is the only one with enough balls to go after the blasted terortists, for runnin a bloody plane into the WTC. (World Trade Centers if you can't feasibly understand acronyms....) My Brain is perfectly fine I Have A's in all my classes I dont study AT ALL, nadda, zip, zilch. I am currently taking 2 honors math classes (I Didn't have any more to take ) and one honors Biology (which is incredibly BORING!). My Brain is very good thank you very much. I don't think you can get schizophrenia from weed but it is possible, if you are extremely pranoid, weed can make you extremely paranoid, you can become schizophrenic. I do agree that Alcohol is a drug, I wouldn't get drunk either. I got all of these facts from a book I read on the effects of marijuana. If you can pull out some Hardcore evidence, with some citation, and not just some crap trying to one-up me, then please do so.

Last year about 7/8 of the kids on the wrestling team got caught smoking weed and got into serious trouble and got kicked of the team for the year. Now about all the popular kids (Preps) smoke pot and Emo kids do to. In other words if I wanted to smoke pot I could very easily.

We smoke weed because it makes everything more enjoyable. In my personal experience, weed does not make you dumber, it destroys your motovation. That is the only long term effect I have noticed. You need to solve your problems and not bury em under a cloud of smoke. And trying to justify the use of weed by saying that it's not dangerous is something that you'd expect to hear from a man that smokes weed. Sidewinder, you were saying that you'd rather have a high driver instead of a drunk one besides you, why, both are under the influence of psycho acitve substances and are becouse of that a danger to human lives. People who are not capable of driving should NOT be driving in the first place.

Ya I did drugs but I quit smoking cigs, weed, and drinking and I feel alot better about myself and stuff like that. But the whole pain killer thing is taking it a little too far dont you think?

If I have a problem I don't try bury it, I confront and overcome it. one really sad thing is, around here on the weekend after 9:00 PM 9/10 of the drivers coming towards you are under the influence of some sort of mind altering substance (weed. meth, alcohol...) . People really think running from their fears will help them go away.

Trying to find a solution to a problem is not what I am trying to do, getting away from the problem for a while is my goal. I can understand what you are all saying, but my life is fucked up beyond repair. So I am just having fun as long as it may last. If I get hit by a bus tomorrow, I will die knowing that I did what I thought was right at the time. Knowing that I have had as much fun as I could have during my life. Defiant Pyro Posted April 1, 2006 Posted April 1, 2006 Let's just say I'm quite the drug fan.. I know I have made some bad choices with drugs such as blowing alot of money on well, blow.. I smoke weed pretty much daily and I don't really notice any difference in the way I act.. I'm just a little bit more lazy than usual. Last night I had an insane amount dried mushrooms powdered and mixed in lemon juice because I wanted to experience the trip of my life after doing 5-MeO DMT, 10g dried shrooms, acid, MDMA, mescaline, 4th plateau DXM doses, 5-MeO-DIPT and a few other psychedelics I wanted to have a trip to beat the rest.. That's the only thing bad about drugs is that, atleast with me, I'm always looking for something bigger and better. Like with pyrotechnics I remember almost pissing my pants from setting off BP salutes I just kept progressing and progressing untill I was detonating multiple kilos of HE's. I am really interested in the chemistry behind psychoactive drugs but police are even more interested in busting you for drugs than even explosives.. I've been caught setting stuff off by police and I've never acually got in trouble, I've always just got a warning and a bit of a laugh from the cop. Mmmm, this life I choose.
