hst45 Posted May 6, 2008 Posted May 6, 2008 I shot this on "Cinco de Maio" which I believe is Spanish for "Excuse to drink margaritas and light a fuse". I broke the shell with BP on puffed millet with a whistle bag "kicker" of about 4 or 5 gms., which has been working great for me of late. The violet looked pretty good, but I'm going to tweak it with a tad more Sr to redden it a bit. Overall, I was pretty pleased. By the way, the weird background noise is our local treefrog, the "spring peeper." They breed in marshes, such as the one in the background, and even though they are tiny, about 1-1/2" long when fully grown, if you get several thousand of then together they can be quite loud.
