Swany Posted March 20, 2006 Posted March 20, 2006 Explosives, or pyrotechnics? It isnt exactly a 5 in 1 combo meal, theres high explosives, manufacture, all sorts of stuff. I can think of about 2-3 people with pyrotechnics certification, and perhaps 1 with high explosives. You are very vague. Not that I can describe it much better...
murderskill Posted March 20, 2006 Author Posted March 20, 2006 Well the type of licence to possess and make salutes..not high explosive.. What do u have to go through just to get one? im into fireworks and salutes yet i am also a special effects artist..and would deal with small charges..like squibs..but wanna make my own salutes on the side with the same licence..Please say ur state or thiers. Thanks
Mumbles Posted March 20, 2006 Posted March 20, 2006 Bulk salutes = High Explosive classification bulk salutes are more than .05g on the ground or .13g in the air. Also, if you have a HE licence, you can handle, and manufacture and what not LE's and the like because your magazine is able to store those too.

TheSidewinder Posted March 20, 2006 Posted March 20, 2006 A bulk salute is anything over the amounts given. Seems nitpicky at very small amounts in ONE insert or salute, however if you make 100 at a time you can see why it's a good idea. I hope to get an HE permit (I forget the type number, 31? It's the Unlimited HE User) within a few years. I need a valid site and a magazine first, and that may take a while. M
BigBang Posted March 20, 2006 Posted March 20, 2006 "I" have an LEUP and an LEIP, along with the HEMP. Why I say "I" is because I am infact too young to have these. The guys that I hang out with have all of these so whenever I do something pyro (not HE) , I usually do it around one of them. If we get caught, one of them will have the permits so it is all good.

FrankRizzo Posted March 21, 2006 Posted March 21, 2006 ic..so i need alot of land? i cant store any chems in my house? i live in town.. Right. You should probably look for another hobby, one that doesn't endanger your neighbors. Alternatively, join a club and utilize someone else's site.

Swany Posted March 21, 2006 Posted March 21, 2006 I seriously doubt you have been doing this for years.
Mumbles Posted March 21, 2006 Posted March 21, 2006 Chemicals can be stored in homes legally. It is finished devices that cannot. Technically, you can make and use fireworks as long as they are not stored or transported. There are of course state and local regulations that limit an otherwise free reign. I think there are limits for storage on chemicals too, but the only thing the ATF can really enforce is actually explosive storage.
murderskill Posted March 21, 2006 Author Posted March 21, 2006 I seriously doubt you have been doing this for years. I have been making small fireworks..but nothing compared to the stuff u guys make..Fireworks have been in ,y life ever since i was a baby and im not letting go..
