KAP Posted January 14, 2008 Posted January 14, 2008 I have four pounds of pyrodex pistol powder that I was going to use for lift when I was beginning five years ago. It is really useless for lift and burst unless you really bind the shells. Has anyone used it for other pyrotechnic possibilities? It works good for imitation sticky match. KP
psyco_1322 Posted January 15, 2008 Posted January 15, 2008 Well KP, pyrodex is more like KP than BP so it might work good in larger shells where KP rice hulls are used. Other that the you could use it like pulverone as filler in canister shells. But none the less its useless.
KAP Posted January 17, 2008 Author Posted January 17, 2008 Well, Thank you for the answer,Another reason I also purchased it was I wanted to prime chlorate stars with it, David Blesser never talked about chlorate star incompatibility's with his formulations, but I did get a wealth of information on rolling stars here, so thanks guys for the knowledge and Art. It is a slow sticky match also, v fountain works inc ? My initails are KP Kirk
mormanman Posted January 17, 2008 Posted January 17, 2008 Have you tried rolling stars with it? It might make some nice stars.
KAP Posted January 18, 2008 Author Posted January 18, 2008 I will try that, good idea. I have a beer and I am kicking back. Kirk
