Caleb51 Posted April 19, 2006 Posted April 19, 2006 Wow, very nice lab/shed. That puts my pyro area/lab to shame! How much about was the shed? What state do you live in? It looks a lot like Arizona.
justanotherpyro Posted April 19, 2006 Posted April 19, 2006 To answer yours and ask one my self. Did you have that shipped from another country? Or did you get it in Israel?
Givat Posted April 20, 2006 Posted April 20, 2006 The shed was bought from a factory near my house. The shed+the concrete cost me about 870$.
s25 Posted April 21, 2006 Posted April 21, 2006 My shed it similar to quests but smaller so a little status report for you.Over the last few days i have been insulating and making shelves and work benches for it but it is finaly done Last night i was up till 12:30 painting and it is now ready i varnished the floor but it needs another coat and i painted the interior white! It is now all sexy looking I still have to varnish the floor 2 or 3 more times and varnish my worktop then move in all my gear and then for my finale i bought the stuff for my spud cannon so that will be the first project in there wich will be followed by a ballmill It looks sexy i think I even stuck a danger sign on the door
Swany Posted May 18, 2006 Posted May 18, 2006 The lab in all of its frozen snow-covered glory. This is why I tend to hibernate during winter months, a few feet of snow does that...
Karl Posted June 1, 2006 Posted June 1, 2006 Pyro Joe : That’s a nice bike you have, I have a CR 250 myself. Fast as a rocket, and very reliable. Here’s my workshop. Sorry about all the metallic. I didn’t have enough Kraft to cover my workbench in. My workbenches are 26mm thick Aircraft Ply and weigh a ton! They are perfect for ramming on, they have no play what so ever. Notice my little collection of hemis I have at the moment: 1x ½” Plastic Hemi2x 3” Cardboard Hemi’s2x 4” Cardboard Hemi’s 2x 4” Plastic Hemi’s1x 5” Plastic Hemi1x 5” Cardboard Hemi1x 6” Plastic Hemi (This one is a real BEAST!) I am running low on Chemicals at the moment, I need to re stock. Not to mention I have loaned out my basic equipment to a friend just starting in Pyro. So I have to use comps I have left over from other projects and turn them into something. Ohh and the black stuff around the edges of the shed is Silicon Sealant, the shed uses a wooden frame which started to leak a bit during the 24/7 rainy season in the UK. Anyhow here’s my workshop http://www.amberwesterman.com/sol/test2/trf_pics/060531_CIMG0449%20(Small)%20(2).JPG Chems & Shells http://www.amberwesterman.com/sol/test2/trf_pics/060531_CIMG0451%20(Small).JPG Holding a 6" Shell http://www.amberwesterman.com/sol/test2/trf_pics/060531_CIMG0452%20(Small).JPG A 3" shell inside the 6" , look how tiny it is! http://www.amberwesterman.com/sol/test2/trf_pics/060531_CIMG0453%20(Small).JPG Box full of used rocket motors, these are excellent! http://www.amberwesterman.com/sol/test2/trf_pics/060531_CIMG0454%20(Small).JPG More Chems http://www.amberwesterman.com/sol/test2/trf_pics/060531_CIMG0455%20(Small).JPG Even more chems.... http://www.amberwesterman.com/sol/test2/trf_pics/060531_CIMG0456%20(Small).JPG And even more chems still! http://www.amberwesterman.com/sol/test2/trf_pics/060531_CIMG0457%20(Small).JPG Some of my mortar tubes & random other tubes! http://www.amberwesterman.com/sol/test2/trf_pics/060531_CIMG0460%20(Small).JPG Here you will see that I have two benches. The very back of the shed which is full of junk is now cleared out and thats where my bench is in the photos above. http://www.amberwesterman.com/sol/test2/trf_pics/060531_CIMG0149%20(Small).JPG
BigBang Posted June 1, 2006 Posted June 1, 2006 Nice place. When the aliens come to take us, you'll be saved by all that foil Ahh, and a wee box of motors, how nice. Those E9-8s are fun (purple one in middle of box.) Nice long burn, I'm thinking of doing a small two stager using one of those as the sustainer, but only for a test flight. I need to get a picture of my roo...I mean lab up

If only Estes would come up with a 4 second burn E15 or something. The E9 doesn't really have enough thrust to lift anything too heavy. Hehe and yeah, sorry about the foil. That has to be changed. Eeek!
