pudidotdk Posted August 11, 2007 Posted August 11, 2007 These funnel scoops are easy and cheap to make. They will allow you to easier scoop powders in tubes, crossettes etc. Step 1Start by cutting a square as big as possible from a soda can.http://img182.imageshack.us/img182/8205/scoop001rk0.jpg Step 2Fasten the cut-out aluminium plate with tape on a flat surface and draw the showed figure. You can make a template and use it if making many scoops to speed up the drawing process.http://img73.imageshack.us/img73/4046/scoop002ro2.jpg Step 3Cut out the forms.http://img63.imageshack.us/img63/6463/scoop003ym4.jpg Step 4Bend the sides upwards as showed to create a channel.http://img135.imageshack.us/img135/9571/scoop004cg8.jpg Step 5On the other side of the channel, put super glue in the middle and attach a popsicle to it. Apply pressure until dry.http://img404.imageshack.us/img404/1708/scoop005ts5.jpg Step 6You're now finished. The scoops are used as showed, but you can also use the funnel scoop itself to take more powder, instead of the spoon.http://img404.imageshack.us/img404/5247/scoop006pq7.jpg Cool'e!http://img135.imageshack.us/img135/4297/dsc01794nx0.jpg
jacob Posted August 11, 2007 Posted August 11, 2007 Excellent idea pudi, now i wont spill bp and clay all over the floor when i'm makeing rockets, thanks.
frogy Posted August 13, 2007 Posted August 13, 2007 Lol you should have told me about these earlier My concrete is turning black in color from all the BP caked on it... I thought I'd have to stop using 5/8" tubes so I would stop spilling clay\BP lol
KruseMissile Posted August 19, 2009 Posted August 19, 2009 woah, i use the same exact thing(i got the idea from the $1 metal chemical spoons)http://www.pyrodirect.com/index.php?app=ccp0&ns=prodshow&ref=059-1019&sid=84w7j1w6mqi3210fu232gfl390wb1t53&portrelay=1 The only thing i do different is add a small dowel rod to one side of it and it becomes a small spoon that u can reach into small areas =)
derekroolz Posted October 20, 2009 Posted October 20, 2009 For the guys staining your concrete with the bp...just put a peice of paper down.
Twotails Posted October 20, 2009 Posted October 20, 2009 I just take some cheap plastic spoons, melt them a little bit, and pinch the ends together, leaving a small spout. I like the Metal idea better, Seems like it will last a little longer.
andyboy Posted October 24, 2009 Posted October 24, 2009 My concrete is turning black in color from all the BP caked on it... Woah, I hope you clean it before things take a turn for the worse. A burning floor would not be fun to stand on if it ever came to that.
