jacob Posted August 1, 2007 Posted August 1, 2007 I stumbled upon this a while back a did't post it until now because of, being to lazy/keeping all the good stuff to my self, but recently i have been very instersted in colored smoke comps so i thought i would post them here. anyway, here they are. Name of composition:red dye based smoke. Composition Type:colored smoke Creator:joseph domanico (i think)Color/Effect:red smokeThe Composition: (by weight) sucrose 17.5pot. chlorate 17.5disperse red #11 6.8 solvent red #1 34.2magnesium carbonate 10.0terephthalic acid 14.0 Any Precautions/Incompatabilities: contains a chlorate, do not combine with sulfer, sulfer compounds or ammonia compounds. Precedure/Preparation: i dont know, just mix together i guess. comp#2 yellow smoke, by weight sucrose 15.0pot. chlorate 22.0solvent yellow#33 33.0magnesium carbonate 21.0 everything else, same as above comp#3 green smoke,by weight sucrose 16.5pot. chlorate 24.5solvent yellow#33 12.5solvent green#3 29.5 everything else, same as above comp#4 violet smoke,by weight sucrose 19.1pot. chlorate 18.4disperse red#11 38.0disperse blue#3 4.4magnesium carbonate 20.1 everything else, same as above It should be noted that these are untested by me, (i'm looking to change that soon)And my source for them and many more is this, happy smokeing. . Oh yes, if anyone knows of a good dye supplier i would love to hear about it. 1
