Miech Posted October 12, 2008 Posted October 12, 2008 Ajusting the amount of alcohol in your wetting mix when rolling might help too. Also, you could try rolling with toro. It is somewhat harder to do than you are used to, but making bumpy stars that way is nearly impossible.
FREAKYDUTCHMEN Posted October 12, 2008 Posted October 12, 2008 I tried all of that, and nothing seemed to work realy well. Toro is only usefull if you're rolling big stars, 10mm and up, smaller stars stick to eachother.
GraafVaag Posted October 12, 2008 Posted October 12, 2008 Well, I managed to keep the (approx 6-8mm) stars apart while using toro, but since they were bumpy already, this didn't solve anything. Well, I'll make a new batch of AP/Hex blue for the cores then! And these stars will be shot in a starmine.
psyco_1322 Posted October 13, 2008 Posted October 13, 2008 I always here people talking about ricing the comp and them rolling. I would think if you didn't rice it to at least 100 mesh that it wouldnt roll to well at all. I think the spiking problem comes with adding too much comp to fast. Using 50% alcohol does help.
